On its opening night of the Democratic Convention in 2008, while Michelle Obama addressed the delegates in Denver, Barack Obama camped out in a Missouri home to watch. The Kansas City Star's political reporter was there to take notes.

At the end of the Michelle's speech, Barack joined his wife and daughters over closed-circuit TV. Said he unthinkingly, "I'm here with the Girardeau family here in St. Louis."
This was an awkward moment for Missouri Democrats, not because Obama needlessly repeated the word "here," but because the Girardeaus live in midtown Kansas City
:shocked2:

I mean, I don’t care about that at all... But I was under the impression he had a very good brain and used the best words so, there is that to consider.

Perhaps he’s slipping a bit in the old noggin?

The irony here is he tells us how smart he is and knows more than anyone.

It's a shame you had to go through archives from 12 years ago to find anything negative about Michelle Obama mistakenly believing the Girardeaus live in Kansas City, Missouri and not St. Louis, Missouri. Oh how horrendous!! How could she!!

Lucky me, I only had to go back two days to find out how ****ing stupid Trump is when he congratulated 'the great state of Kansas' for the Superbowl win. But the Kansas City Chiefs are in Missouri, not Kansas. What a dumbass embarrassment to this country he is. Even your dog should be looking side-eyed over at you.

The family's name is Girardo, not Girardeau. Yes, this quote has been out there for years, since it happened, and he said "St. Louis" when he meant to say "Kansas City". What does Obama have to do with the President Tweeting that Kansas City is in Kansas?

Yeah, your fellow leftists already have several threads on this. Pay attention. No one cares.

Does anyone else think poor KLATTU may have suffered a breakdown when his beloved President stood in the middle of fire ravaged Paradise, California last year and called it "Pleasure", and even commented on "what a name" it is, all while doing his duty as President and observing the devastation his constituents had to deal with?

Well, Tres, in an alternate universe it is called Pleasure, California, so waaaah!

"Did Trump ever tweet that Kansas City is in Kansas"

3 Pinnochios.

Even though it's true ( most 5th grader even know there's a Kansas City in Kansas), he never said that.

He congratulated the Kansas City Chiefs and then said they represented the State of Kansas well. Of course any spots fan knows the Chiefs have a HUGE fan base in Kansas.
We can't be sure why he din't include Missouri fans, but he most assuredly did not tweet that Kansas city is in Kansas ( even though it is)

I didn't say Trump Tweeted that Kansas City was in Kansas. The smart people saw his Tweet before he changed it. He congratulated the state of Kansas for the win by the Kansas City Chiefs - who play in Missouri, not Kansas.

Why did you just post what you did?

And what does Obama have to do with Trump not knowing that Kansas City is in Missouri - not Kansas?

I mean......of course he thought that the Chiefs represented Kansas. Why try to spin it? He said something dumb. He does that a lot. Every President has said something really stupid. Some say a lot of stupid things and Trump is in that category.

I asked you a question. A question isn't Pinnocchio inducing. It's a question, not a statement. Now answer the question. What does Obama have to do with the President thinking Kansas City was in Kansas?

Wow. A whole thread started based on an Obama whataboutism. I can smell the desperation from over here...

Maybe Trump could get out of his ivory tower once in a while and find out there is more to the US than NYC or Mar-A-Lago?

Agreed. Every reporter should ask Trump, can you point to the home of the Kansas City Chiefs on a map?

Kansas City, abbreviated as "KCK", is the third-largest city in the State of Kansas, the county seat of Wyandotte County, and the third-largest city of the Kansas City metropolitan area.[1] It is situated at Kaw Point, which is the junction of the Missouri and Kansas rivers. It borders Johnson County, Kansas to the south and Kansas City, Missouri (KCMO) to the east, after which Kansas City, Kansas, is named.[5][6] It is part of a consolidated city-county government known as the "Unified Government". Wyandotte County also includes the independent cities of Bonner Springs, Edwardsville, a portion of Lake Quivira, and the unincorporated area known as Loring. As of the 2010 census, the city had a population of 145,786 residents.[7]

An excellent question. So, 12 years ago an ex-POTUS made a mistake. Two days ago a President who claims he's a "stable genius" made the same mistake. What conclusions are we to draw from this? That both are stable geniuses?.....or that neither are?

Since Obama is out, and Trump is the President, whom should we be more concerned about? The one who attends ribbon-cutting ceremonies or the one with the nuclear launch codes?

And, if Pompeo asked him to point to Ukraine on an unmarked world map, I'm sure he would point to Norway.
