Why? Well, there's the economy.
And then, of course, the economy has been good.
And did I mention the economy?
And then there is his opposition. Everyone knows the news media hates Pres. Trump, and so people tend to discount what the news media says about Pres. Trump. And as for the Democrats, they are off on socialism, abolishing ICE, and single payer health care. Pres. Trump has intuited that there is no success at the national level without addressing the concerns of the working class, i.e., a tight labor market, border security, trade reciprocity, patriotism, traditional values, and law and order. Democrats have not even tried.

This is also an undercurrent building over the last few years that things are not all that great. We have big data making people nervous, we have huge data thefts by unknown actors all over the world. Multinatinal companies are all the rage as they shut down factories and outsource manufacturing and sell it at prices the unemployed can afford. Then we have FAANG who rightly or wrongly are blamed for hollowing out main street in one way or another, and every scrap of data about you is being sold for billions because the boilerplate said you said they could.
Of course, the elites don't have to put up with illegal aliens with five kids barging into your neighborhood, your schools, and your welfare and medical system. No one asked me if I wanted my country to change into a suburb of Mexico. Then we have the homeless. You do have to come up with an answer for your kids when they ask about them. And "They didn't do good in school" isn't the answer.
Dad might wonder, "Where are all the drugs coming from. Why can't we stop it?" I'll bet people know of as many people with drug problems as they do cancer victims. What is being done about it? "Oh, you mean it just waltzes over the border?" For how long now? Decades, you say...
But at the end of the day, the last best thing, "multilingualism" has led citizens to wonder "Why hasn't' capitalism worked for me?". And "every thing seems to be made in China". And "China is stealing us blind" and no one is going a thing but talk, talk, talk.
Nearly all of America has one or more of these concerns. And the last several presidents were entirely ineffective at doing anything for Ma and Pa Mainstreet. It was all about economic growth with the use of the fewest American workers possible.
Trump, warts and all slashed, burned, and destroyed our polite "But it's was her turn" path to political power where one elite passed the torch to the other and went on about selling out the voters to multinational economics. Trump has demonstrated that he means it when he says to the American worker that "I put you and America first". Many presidents have said that, and they all turned out to be poll tested bull****ters.
Trump is ending a lot of things that didn't work. And he has his wind at his back because the old guard is dying off or retiring. In less that two years Trump has accomplished more than the last five presidents combined, and all of his accomplishments for the most part have put America and American workers first. What kind of American citizen is against that?
Funny, to whom ever wants "specific accomplishments" because they don't know of any: They are all over the place if the corrupt media would talk about them, or Plan B, you did some research yourself. It's not my job to the media's job just to enlighten you.
