How popular are conspiracy theories about Russia?

It's pretty much irrelevant what you say. Unless you argue for it, try to be logically coherent and have your OWN opinions, then it's not really interesting.

Just spewing out a bunch of claims is not really interesting. Or just repeating what you heard others say. Not interesting to read or listen to. I'm all ears for something actual, but some people on this forum seem to be anti-Russian trolls on some kind of auto pilot. It does not really lend much to their credibility.

Sez the Russian troll.

Hating Russia, now that is politically correct.

Hating Russia?? I don't think we hate Russia - but neither do we want to become like Russia. We don't want a president for life - we don't want laws passed banning "fake news" or picking on the poor master.
There's a difference.

Love the Russian people, hate the Russian dictator.

A familiar refrain from everyone, but it neatly avoids dealing with the dilemma that Putin is there because he's widely supported by the Russian people.

It also doesn't address why these self proclaimed lovers of the Russian people:

1. Think they know better than Russians what is in the interests of Russians.

2. Support the imposition of sanctions which harm the Russian economy (and their own) and adversely impact the Russian people.

If i put aside the shockingly arrogant condescending paternalism of (1) by people who usually know nothing about Russia and couldn't find it on a map, it's impossible to get past (2).

Because your love of Russians is manifested by economic if not yet military warfare. I think you are kidding only yourselves.

Actions speak louder than words, and you're self interested foreigners who do not have the interests of Russia or Russians at heart. Why should you? But let's get real.

Do the people really have a choice?? Putin kills his competition. He kills "journalists" that don't report "favorable" things about him. I doubt the Russian people have a fair chance at not liking Putin.

Who has said you want to become like Russia or should want that? Every country have their problems. Russia have many problems, but those in the propaganda are not really among the problems. For comparison sake, Merkel and Putin has served almost as long, so saying lifelong is not exactly right. But yeah, a country should not have a president, it should be ruled by it's people, not some individuals.

Well you know Russia is our number one geopolitical foe.....

Sez the Russian troll.

Ofcourse, everyone who disagree with your (that you adopted) outrageous anti-Russian propaganda is a Russian troll. Ofcourse.

I can't believe how low some people will sink in discussions. It's really sad and it completely shatters any credibility you might have had.

That I know. I don't see why it needs to be though.

Right now it needs to be so because the democrats needed a scapegoat for the content of their email dump. Dont lose sight of the fact that when Romney said that back in 2012 the demo rats lost their collective ****ing minds.

Mind you...it was 2012 and in 2012, Hillary was still approving Uranium deals and Obama was giving Medvedev handjobs.

Where do you get this information from? Did you ever stop to ask yourself that question? Putin was elected, just like your idol Obama. And did you ever care to ask the question: do we ever have a choice? I mean, really? You think WE live in a democracy? Have a good close look at our society and the political system.

Why are you spending all this time looking at Russia instead of at our own system? Have you been told to do so? Is that what YOU, YOURSELF has logically resonated? Switzerland is a democracy, there the people have actual power, and the final authority. They can raise politics, they can reject politics, and they have local/regional autonomy and does not have to adhere to national dictates.

Look at the other so-called and self-declared "democracies" for comparison. What exactly make them ruled by the people? Where is the power with the people? Nowhere, that's where. Russia is a mighty fine distraction away from problems closer to home. I know it, but I don't get it, why you care about a country on the other side of the world, where you don't live and you're not a citizen, but you don't do the same thing for your own country, where you actually live and where you are a citizen.

I said I know, it's rhetorical, but you may answer if you want. It's strange how people have such a hard time being self critical and putting hard effort into looking at themselves, and how easy it is to look at others and say "...".

Just please try, for the sake of your country. We all have to do it to leave this awful time period and move onto a new and mature modern society. A few hundred years from now, people will look at how primitive we are and laugh. Could it really ever have been like that? The alternative is that the people of the future live in an eternal global tyranny, and know nothing of the past and ask no questions at all. We are the generation that will make the important decisions for the future. It has never before been able to implement an eternal global tyrannical system, but now it is, and it is our responsibility to choose the alternative.

Wow, that's incredible. Then they all turned around for some reason. Russia this, Russia that, it's all about Russia. They are obsessed with Russia.

I personally think it was the gay tyrants who forced them. It coincided with the Russian "anti-gay propaganda law" of 2013.

Oh...didnt you already know why they turned a 180?

The content of the emails released was very damning. And every time the democrats were asked about their actual emails and comments they shrieked...the RUSSIANS!!!! THE RUSSIANS!!!!

And the idiot leftists swallowed it hook line and sinker.

Not everyone.

Only the blatant ones.

Well, I don't know the case in detail, I'm not heavily into American politics, I generally just take a broader look. And in the broad look, it looks bad. I'm sure if I was to look at the details it would look even worse and affirm my broader look of things.

But anyways, fixing the US and the political system there is not up to me. I need to focus on the system in my country, and believe me, it is very broken. We all have to do our part in our place to make things better. Ofcourse, despite everything, I still have sympathy for the American people and want the best for them, and I hope they can sort things out. So I do pay some attention to what is going on over there. Sure, I'm critical of the US many times, but that's mostly the things they drag around the world, not what is going on in the US. I do include them in general criticism though, when talking about the broader problems that we all face and share. There are many common denominators.

Sadly, in my country things are in many ways going so well, that "they" could be drinking baby blood right in front of us, without anyone caring, tapped live from the baby. Across Europe, we have various situations, but things are also moving. I think my own country is probably the last who will wake up. You know, the people who lay on the floor with the needle in their arm, they have it quite well, and it's difficult to talk sense into them. I think for the US the situation is different already. Electing Trump is kind of proof of that.

I sure hope we can get rid of these people so that we all can be free and as a people have self determination. Of the people, by the people and for the people, it's not an automatic function of society, it is something that continually have to be protected, fought for and improved.

This Russia nonsense is just an annoying distraction and a clear indication of how desperate "they" are becoming. Nobody wants to have the society "they" want to impose on us, and if some do, we can help them set up their own country somewhere, and they can all move there and live in their dream system. We can call the country "Hell", just for the heck of it.

That Mack is engaging in this conspiracy thread is hardly surprising. A partisan hack. And no mentions of Trump and his "secret meeting minions".

Its a discussion thread...why WOULDNT I enter into it? And I have offered the GENESIS of the idiot leftist Russian talking points. Look...I get it. The rats know...KNOW that all they have to do is peddle any ridiculous bull**** they want and you will swallow it. And I can only imagine how that must feel for you. I mean...I get that part of you is more than happy to eat **** for your party...you do it so well. But there has to be at least SOME part of you that can go back and SEE how badly they ****ed you in 2012 and how they flipped the script a complete 180 on Russia just 4 years later and just KNEW you would take it and smile. That HAS to bother you at least a little bit.

What's wrong Mack? Did the Russians meddle at the wrong time and get caught?

How inconsiderate of them.

I don't know Mack. 37 indictments so far. 4 guilty plea agreements and Manafort is sitting in prison.

Not looking good for your side.

Meanwhile, our society it collapsing, and no-one cares. They only care about Russia.

Regards,
from Europe

Neither is it looking good for good people in politics. What innocent mouse would want to be in such a snakepit?

And who aside from psychopaths are the most able to acquire the power in politics? The biggest losers, we the people.

You complained about Dems. I demonstrated that Trump is exponentially worse.
