On this Sunday afternoon, your post struck a poignancy within me.
Firstly, as a multi-generational cradle Catholic who understand & respects the power of prayer, I encourage you to continue in prayer, and with as many family members as possible.
But your logic here, is way off base in my opinion.
"post hoc ergo propter hoc"
I'd suggest following whatever you pray for, with asking for guidance, illumination, and "your will be done". Pray for God's way, not yours. At least that's my take on it.
In my opinion "God's way is through suffering as we are meant to suffer so that we can become better people". Trump is the ultimate test of suffering. He is the Devil. If we fail to get rid of evil, we will end up in hell with the Devil. If we meet the test and get rid of Trump, we will have passed the ultimate test!
