How much do you hate Donald Trump?

Left wing hate being exposed is a good thing, I guess.

I don't remember so much hate being directed at Obama and he was basically the anti-christ to the right. I don't remember it being as personal and I don't remember seeing any threads on the various forums I've visited that expressed a *personal* hatred. Its very easy for leftists to go there.

There were certainly small groups of people who were over the top against EX President Obama. The media was merciless in going after them. Certainly "the Right" in general voiced considerable opposition to his policies and actions. The media, in general, painted them as obstructionists and defended the EX President against them.

Today, the objective is to destroy the duly elected Administration, and it is fully supported by the completely unhinged left and their media partners.

I've been around for a long time and I have no memory of any time in my life time when the effort has been so extreme and focused. The left entered a slippery slope and like the legend of the lemmings, are jumping off the cliff at the end of it.

At least now it's the people themselves trying to thwart a wannabe dictator, as opposed to Mitch McConnell, the Koch Brothers and FOX News constantly attacking the winner of the popular vote.

The people are rising, and that's a great sign for democracy in our nation!

You are correct, the people are rising, but it's not the ones the left was hoping for, and it doesn't bode well for them in the future.

Dictator......... :lamo

You might think it's funny now, to support a two-bit strongman who seeks to undermine the Constitution at every turn, but you're going to get steamrolled along with the rest of the Trump Cult. The People are not going to forget your complicity.

Spare me the drama. The mantra you've repeated here sounds precisely the same as what the left and their media partners were saying on November 1, 2016.

How did that work out?

As long as the left keeps rolling out the Kathy Griffins in their flock, or putting their "leaders" like Pelosi and others in front of the camera, the steamroller will continue to be nothing but wishful thinking and hyperbole.

the last 8 years are a complete blank to you?

Greetings, RickJames3000. :2wave:

You have apparently overlooked the fact that the SCOTUS voted unanimously on two different occasions during Obama's term of office that he had exceeded his authority as defined under the Constitution. Please keep in mind that four of those Justices are Democrats, two of which Obama himself appointed, yet you call Trump a two-bit strongman? Obama apparently taught Constitutional Law are Harvard, so he knew what he was doing.

I appreciate the note, but Obama is no longer in office... and this thread is about Donald Trump. :2wave:

When one is making a point about someone's behavior because you don't approve of them, it seemed appropriate to call attention to the facts by making sure that you know what's "fair and square" has to be applied the same way for all the players!

I also feel deep deep shame that my fellow citizens could vote such a man into the highest office in the land.
I cant imagine how your gonna feel when they re-elect him.

Of course. It's the times that have been created. The rise of liberal fascism requires a full embrace of double standards and runaway hypocrisy.
I agree with many of your posts until you get here. This where our opinions part ways.

It seems more appropriate to just stick to the topic of the thread, but obviously YMMV.
The "But Obama!" deflection is tired and lame.

It also gets tiresome to see Trump maligned 24/7, too. While I didn't vote for him, he is the President,
and whether or not you feel he deserves at least common courtesy by not calling him a "2-bit strongman" is your choice.

Sure. But it would seem to be commons sense that if you are tired of seeing "Trump maligned 24/7", then you'd probably want to avoid threads with titles like "How much do you hate Donald Trump?"

And yet here you are reading every word.

How do we account for that?

Trump is more a symptom of a problem then the problem itself.

If our nation and political parties was working correctly he would had not gotten anywhere near the oval office except as a visitor.

I fear that Trump might be the beginning of having such men in power not just a crazy outrider to the norms.

footnote take a good look at who would be president if Trump for whatever reason did not finish his term.

Valid points. The last one is important. You have to go though about 4 people in the line of succession before you get anyone even half reasonable.

I read nearly every post on here - curiosity maybe? Anyway, have a good day!

Actually they carried the day getting over 2,800,000 MORE VOTES than Trump did. It is only because we still cling to an outdated anti-democratic mechanism from the 1700's that gives some votes three to four times the weight of other voters that Trump won in the EC.

Never forget that when we are talking about the will of the American people and what they support.

No they wouldn't. They would mourn the death of a President.

The largest reason why liberal lose and will continue to lose is because they have no idea how anyone but themselves think.

This is a very interesting observation that I don't think I've ever considered before. Thank you.

I certainly don't hate Donald Trump. That said, he is undoubtedly the worst president I've seen in my lifetime.

But Pence is no better and to make matters worse, Pence takes religion far more seriously than Trump.

LOL

Still clinging to the desire to burn the Constitution? I have no doubt fellow members of the alt-left will be clinging to that festering pile forever.

Better do what you can to save California, because without it....... :bomb:

whateverdude said:
How much do you hate Trump? And as a human or a politician?

Do you hate his policies alone? Or do you hate him as a person, and see him as undeserving of any empathy or humanity?

Would you feel better if he got a heart attack or a stroke? And even if you don't believe in wishing that on him, would you react to it compassionately? Would you be happy about it and celebrate? Or would you just feel nothing as you have no empathy for him either way.
Is there not enough hate for you to celebrate death but also not enough empathy for you to feel bad? Or would you forget about Trump and look at the well-being of the nation?
That doesn't mean you'd be happy if he died because you want him to die, but you'd be happy that someone else would be president.
And how would you react to those greiving for him?
Would you be like, "Ha ha!!! In your face Trump voters" Maybe throw in a couple Nelson laughs.

I think, as a guess, 80% of liberals would be happy. And at least 60% would rub it in the faces of Trump supporters

One of the reasons I didn't take offense to Kathy Griffin's picture is because I'm just devoid of empathy for him.
Like if it were a real life picture and not a work of fiction, I wouldn't care.
I don't hate President Donald J. Trump as much as I hate Donald J. Trump, the person. I like his policies more than I like him as a human being

I'm not calling for violence, don't misunderstand. However, I just feel like if he slipped in the shower, broke his neck and died, it'd put a smile on my face.
And you know what?
Maybe that makes me a bad person.
But personally I don't think I'd take joy in his passing, but I would take joy in the country getting a second chance

I'm definitely no fan of Trump's, but I don't want him to slip in the shower and break his neck, or anything similar to happen. He's not an evil man, he's ignorant and delusional, in my view (perhaps he would say the same of me). So are his supporters, generally speaking--and I don't hate them, either.

Hatred is something that very few people ever really feel; it's become too easily confused with anger. I've felt hatred for exactly one person, and it's really nothing to do with anger. Anger passes. Hatred abides for a very long time. You can become compassionate toward someone you've been angry at before. Once you hate someone, you will never again feel even a tiny glimmer of compassion, or any positive feeling at all, toward them. You will seek to harm them every chance you can, and never once feel bad about it. "Hatred" is not a word that should be tossed around lightly--it's not something that is within most people's experience these days.

I do not hate Trump, and I would feel bad for his family and supporters if he were assassinated or died in some other sudden manner. I do oppose his policies, and I hope he gets some sense and starts to think things through better. I hope the dems take at least one chamber of congress in 2018. I hope he's voted out of office in 2020. But my reasons for those desires are not hatred.
