To be honest, I thought only the Senate Majority leader could do that, which in itself is still pretty messed up.

This is what I would definitely call a bi-partisan statement against any attempted cover-up of what Mueller has found. If a cover-up is attempted, the next step would be the Judiciary committee obtaining the report and reading it into the Congressional Record, thus making it public, and Trump has no power to stop that.

I support a full public release (except for any classified info of course).

It will certainly put to bed this whole brouhaha once and for all and prevent conspiracy theories from gaining any foothold.

YOu seem to be ignoring that all but 4 republicans voted for that too. It is basically telling Barr a message. I am sure if/when the report is released, it will have the national security issues redacted, but both Republicans and Democrats are saying they want as much transparency to the public as possible. It's not a matter of Trump, it's a matter of what Barr thinks.. it's just a message to him.

facts are facts the mueller report belongs to the AG and the DOJ as a classified document.
the house has 0 rights to it no matter how much schiff wants to pitch his little fit.

Barr is the ones that determines what information gets released.
