Take a look at the composition of the House Judiciary in terms of Race & Gender:

DEMs-

WHITE MALE 7; WHITE FEMALE 3; BLACK MALE 4; OTHER MALE 2; OTHER FEMALE 4

GOP-

WHITE MALE 15; WHITE FEMALE 2

When it comes to representation, if you consider Race & Gender diversity a high priority, I would think the DEMs would have a lot more appeal than the GOP.

How do you feel about this glaring discrepancy between the parties? What do you think it indicates?

On a local level, for one reason or the other from time to time, I have crossed parties. I have never crossed parties for a National Election. I put a high priority on diversity!

It is legal for white Democrats to hate themselves and legal for non-whites Democrats to gather together on Democratic racist propaganda also to hate people based upon their race.

What matters in politicians is "who can do the job", not "What race/gender are you".

Get back to us when your "Diverse Utopia" actually equates to competence.

Say's a lot about your fragile sensibilities.

to be honest, it's a selling point to many Republican voters that their party is mainly white and male. that's what they want.

Says the person who is fearful of America becoming a nonwhite majority.

The book was "Virginia: History, Government, Geography," and it was one of a trio of state-commissioned texts – the others were for fourth grade and high school – that taught Confederate-friendly "Lost Cause" ideas to a generation of Virginians and cast the state's segregationist political leaders in a favorable light.
If you were a Virginian between fourth and 11th grades from 1957 to the 1970s, you may well have gotten a dose of this official state history. The books were estimated to reach more than a million students.

I wonder when the two of you grew up, what schools you went to and what text books you used?

Diversity of color and gender is meaningless when 98% of Democrats fall in line with the far left agenda. There is no diversity of thought and that is what counts. In fact, opposing views are greatly frowned on and vigorously silenced in most cases.

It's all about race to the Left. You know what matters? Diversity of thought and in your party, my friend, there is none. Because exactly none is tolerated.
Your party is cancel culture. Your party is hive mind. Hell, your party doesn't even have room for Obama.

So goodie, goodie, goodie for you that you have more melanin in your party.

Congrats on all your diversity of skin color. I feel sorry that you have so little tolerance, acceptance and joy.

Cross posted. GMTA and all that.;)

I'd rather have a big tent with less melanin, than a phone booth that only allows The Borg.

BTW, that demographic is going to shift as fewer and fewer people exhibit the increasingly stringent necessary "intersectionality" and thought purity.

I think we need to stop worrying about racial and gender quotas <yawn> <zzzzzzzzz>

How do you know their preferred pronouns and gender identifications?

OP re-posted to correct an error. I did not include BLACK FEMALE 4 the first time.

Personally, I put a high priority on only one thing: competency.

If I were seriously ill in a hospital, I would not mind in the least if all the doctors were, let's say, beings from Mars if they were more competent than human beings.

I would not want a few human beings on the staff who were less competent than the Martians simply for the sake of "diversity."

The general public does not elect hospital staff. Some counties, at least in Florida, hold elections to determine who sits on the Board of Directors of public hospitals.

Whether private or public, I assume just about all hospitals have a 'Doctor Review' panel intent on maintaining a high level of staff competency.

Diversity goes hand-in-hand with inclusiveness. A less inclusive society digresses.

Well, it isn't really shocking that the GOP on the committee are all white.
Kudos for them bringing a couple of the ladies along for the ride.
They will get to mediocre diversity soon.

Citation for that %. I call bull**** all over it.

Some of the bonehead responses from conservatives in this thread remind me of Earl Butz who served as Secretary of Agriculture for Nixon and Ford.
