I owe you an apology. When I made my initial reply I did not realize it was you to whom I was replying to. I will say no more.

Translation: You quit because You know you can’t get away with your lies, deceits and spins.

I understand.

I actually did some research on it. You have not, obviously for the sole purpose of hating on Bernie Sanders.

Not at all - if anything, I admire the man for his willingness to wear an unpopular label because he believes in it. I think it's crazy, but, the man himself is generally pretty honest (unlike, say, Warren) about who he is and what he wants. I don't need to hate anyone in politics, nor do I require a strong emotional motivation merely to take someone at their word when they insist - for decades - on defining themselves as a socialist.

only conservatives want to deny Democratic socialism and socialism are two different political parties.

Conservatives like Chris Matthews. [emoji38] okedoke. So, is that like saying that Democratic Fascism is totally different than Fascism?

"Oh, don't worry about the proto-fascism of the Trump movement; it's not fascism, it's Democratic fascism." :D

The person who makes the case for Bernie being a socialist isn't Hannity, Trump, or any of the blowhard spewers of vileness on the right, it's Bernie. He's the one who has spent decades making that case, because he believes it. At least respect the man enough to honor the courage of his convictions.

it is the OPPOSITE of your post...... understand that. :doh:roll:

Great link on MA. I like the state polling on RCP. They’re doing 14 states right now. I’ve added six more states of my own. Most of these six had the winner in 2016 under 50%. Most have a big Senate race also.

If you tap on the NAME of the poll on the left hand side of the page for each state poll, you get all the specifics of the poll. I’ll continue to watch the crossover GOP vote and INDY vote. TX is closed and CA is modified on ST.

For my 1 March forecast update Maine has given me fits. Ranked voting. If it were Gideon vs. Collins in a normal election, I'd be calling Maine a democratic pick up. But there's the Green Party, Savage plus 3 independents which probably means neither Gideon nor Collins gets their 50% plus one in round one. Then it comes down to who was the second choice among the green party and independents. Who the heck knows? I assume most Savage voters would have Gideon, independents, anyone's guess.

I do think who is at the head of the ticket could decide several of the senate races. Sanders would help Gideon in my opinion. Hurt the Democrats in Alabama, North Carolina and the two Georgia races. Perhaps give McConnell the edge he needs to win again in Kentucky. But this is early feelings on the senate.

I've noticed I'm the lone standout forecasting the GOP will pick up a few seats in the house. Every other prognosticator has the democrats gaining usually between 20-35 seats. I don't know what they're looking at. Probably basing their prediction on the generic congressional vote. I'm going by competitive districts that might switch parties. I haven't even looked at the generic congressional vote. I understand how the generic congressional vote works. But I don't think you can apply it to the party with the most seats. It's more useful in my opinion to the party that is out of power or controls the least number of seats in the House. So we'll see. I was right on the money in 2018 using my method. 2020 remains to be seen.

Republicans and Conservative Independents have also done this in the GOP’s Operation Chaos.

With South Carolina as an OPEN primary, and republicons having cancelled their SC primary, who do you think non-Democrats will vote for?

Have you noticed a pattern between which states the GOP has cancelled primaries and caucuses in and which states Democrats have an open or modified voting system?

Have not looked into other States in any detail.
I was a registered Republican for most of my life. Never voted the Partly line in any election. I voted for who I thought would do the best job. I changed to Independent about 10 years ago. This election cycle I just changed from Independent to Democrat.

In the National election if it comes down to Sanders vs Trump. I cannot vote for Sanders. There a some things Trump has done that I agree with. There are some I don't. My not be a good reason but I cannot stand the way Trump presents himself. imo, he is a terrible leader.

Maybe it is a conspiracy. Trump believes he would easily defeat Sanders. So thousands of registered Republicans are changing their party selection for State primaries to Democrat. Then they will/have voted for Sanders. Once the Democrat primary is over in their State they will change their registration back to Republican. They will vote for Trump. Hence a second term.

That's not a conspiracy. That's just the way things work. The primary/caucus process in almost every state is an absolute disaster.

I fear perception is stronger than reality. The Republicans have a very well-practice smear team, with a boat load of money to execute their attacks. The closer we get to the general, the closer we're going to get to Sanders being labeled a socialist.

Plus, their voters are stupid, don't know what socialism is, and do as they're told by the establishment and their preferred media.

But, most people understand that the GOP propaganda machine is one big fat lie after the next. The people who don't understand that, already vote Republican every election, basically out of fear. Fear of change, fear of Democrats, fear of minorities.

The ones who do understand the lies the GOP says, will only be emboldened by the dishonest attacks against Bernie. You ever notice how when the media launches dishonest attacks, it always backfires?

I think the majority of voters are too lazy to file the paperwork required for two party registration changes.

In many cases, all you have to do is click a button on a web page. There is no paperwork.

The Democrat party has been hijacked by the radial Left. They really don't exist any longer.

Better to be hijacked by the "radial [sic] Left [sic]" than a fat ass illiterate with a weird dick, no morals, and contagious insecurity.

Of course we all know members of the Democratic Party never lie, right?

imo, politics on both sides have sunk to a new low.

Former President Paul Tsongas totally agrees that Bernie has pretty much already been nominated.

Given what he went through in 2016 and despite his campaigning for Hillary against Trump, both she and the DNC continue to treat him as an outsider. I honestly couldn't blame the guy if he gave them the finger should they attempt to screw him over.

As far as the Bloomberg question, we don't have to wonder what if as that is precisely what Bloomberg is going to do. I don't really see your point on that.

You just caused me to have an interesting thought. If Sanders would run with a third party or as an independent, he would become my first pick. As a Democrat, he's my third or fourth choice. I honestly want both major parties to burn to the ground and never come back.

Lol, I'm completely at a loss. I never would have imagined showing actual video footage of someone saying something would not be enough to prove he actually said it because it wasn't on his Wiki page or a WaPo article.

You have to be kidding. In the current hell we're living in, Trumpists have decided that actual video footage, with audio, in context, date stamped and subtitled, certified with a return receipt to sender, doesn't mean ****.

I agree with that. It is a mistake to run away from the socialist label. Sanders, his supporters, and others should rather try to educate the masses that the assholes using "socialism" as a cuss word are all old people who are also stupid.

True, I didn't think about everything that has been happening lately and how everyone has become so blinded by partisanship that no amount of evidence is sufficient to change ones opinion. This goes for more than just Trumpists as I have seen people still make comments like "Trump still has not disavowed (nazis, white nationalists, david duke, etc)" when he has done so repeatedly.

Sanders [...] threatened to primary Obama in 2012, which will get even more blacks for trump

I mean given by the sum total I've read of your posts in this thread, I already knew that I didn't think very highly of any of your analyses, but this, sir, is an absolute gem. If you want to stop a candidate in the primary, you should make arguments that don't sound nearly as desperate and completely implausible as this.

I would imagine that the Republicans would be very happy to be running against a socialist.

Yeah, I'm sure they would be. Just like Hillary was so happy to be running against Trump.

I always find it richly entertaining when people think dishonesty is something the Other team does.

That's a fantastic idea. Please, if you have any influence whatsoever, please use it to get Bernie and or the DNC to run explicitly in 2020 on the claim that people old enough to remember the Cold War are stupid and that Socialism is actually awesome.

Mmk. I'll do what I can. My best bet, however, is to wait for them to finish dying off.

How could you possibly be so stupid to vote for a 78 year old socialist who recently had a heart attack. Step back from your hate and get off the drugs just for a second and use your brains. I realize your choices are horrific, but you could just sit this one out.
