Guaido and Venezuela.
Does Juan Guaido possess any legitimacy to be President of Venezuela?

Yes!
N0!
Other, needs explanation.

Well the approach of Guaido proclaiming himself President is an iffy one, but it does seem to work under the Venezuelan Constitution, article 233 of the Venezuelan Constitution could be stretched to accommodate this stance because the 2018 Venezuela election was not a legitimate election, by any international standard, it was nothing but a show election.

Now I know Dave, you are a mouthpiece for the Regime and spread its propaganda, but since Venezuela's children are dying of hunger and dysentery and Maduro is blocking aid at the border, I have no time for your nonsense.

Article 233 does not support Guaido. Venezuela has the most observed and best DEMOCRATIC elections in the World. Henry Falcon ran against Maduro and lost to Maduro who had a 60+% majority. Guaido was not a candidate. Guaido is from George Washington U and a CIA asset, not a Venezuelan patriot. His acts are seditiion.

Being from GWU and a CIA asset and being a Venezuelan patriot are not mutually exclusive. Currently Venezuela is a colony of Cuba, Russia and China. It is a true example of NAZIism. Venezuela and its people are being bled dry as a slave state to mainly Cuba in a textbook example of national socialism.

According to Venezuelan law he does.

No, he does not. Article 233 says the President Maduro must be incapacitated so it does not apply. Also the Venezuels Supreme Court rejected Guaido outright.

In fact, it just might.

It was not a legitimate election, by any stretch of the imagination.

Preposterous, you are nothing but a propaganda mouthpiece for a corrupt regime that has no legitimacy.

Article 223 doesn't apply since Maduro is not considered the president of Venezuela. An election is not binding if it is fraudulent. Venezuela's Supreme Tribunal of Justice is under the control of Maduro, and therefore has no authority. The Supreme Tribunal of Justice of Venezuela in Exile has ratified Guaido's presidency.

Article 233 is to replace an incapacitated President. Does Maduro look or act incapacitated. Besides the Venezuelan Supreme Court ruled Guaido invalid. Rejected.

It actually deals with a bit more than that, but you're a propaganda mouthpiece for a corrupt and illegitimate regime who's allowing its children to starve and die:

The President of the Republic shall become permanently unavailable to serve by reason of any of the following events: death; resignation; removal from office by decision of the Supreme Tribunal of Justice; permanent physical or mental disability certified by a medical board designated by the Supreme Tribunal of Justice with the approval of the National Assembly; abandonment of his position, duly declared by the National Assembly; and recall by popular vote.

When an elected President becomes permanently unavailable to serve prior to his inauguration, a new election by universal suffrage and direct ballot shall be held within 30 consecutive days. Pending election and inauguration of the new President, the President of the National Assembly shall take charge of the Presidency of the Republic.

When the President of the Republic becomes permanently unavailable to serve during the first four years of this constitutional term of office, a new election by universal suffrage and direct ballot shall be held within 30 consecutive days. Pending election and inauguration of the new President, the Executive Vice-President shall take charge of the Presidency of the Republic.

In the cases describes above, the new President shall complete the current constitutional term of office. If the President becomes permanently unavailable to serve during the last two years of his constitutional term of office, the Executive Vice-President shall take over the Presidency of the Republic until such term is completed.

The election was not a legitimate election, not by any international standard whatsoever, therefore his Presidency is not legitimate, therefore there is no President Maduro, therefore the position is abandoned.

When opposition voters have a gun to their heads, it is difficult not to lose an election. You would give Che an orgasm.

Besides the Venezuelan Supreme Court ruled Guaido invalid.

By the way, have to lol at this when the Supreme Court is stacked or threatened into submission by Maduro lackeys.

You are a full fledged mouth piece for a corrupt regime that has destroyed its own country, where its people starve and that has no legitimacy by any stretch of the imagination.

From what I read the constitution in Venezuela says Guaido should be the new President.

A Maduro packed court...

You do like the dictator types as long as they are ANTI-US...

You mean like a US packed Supreme Court.

If it's OK here, it's OK there, but Venezuela is a Democracy, the USA is not.

Which is pretty easy when you bar or arrest all of your real opponents, and a s a result many organizations refused to observe it, because well what it is the point, they are illegitimate already.
