Which battlefields were you at? I was in Afghanistan, does that mean my opinion is much more qualified than Lizzie's? I read the book and watched the movie, and while Chris Kyle was religious, it in no way seemed to be the driving motivation behind his actions. His actions seemed to be driven by being a red blooded alpha male whose job it was to enact violence on our behalf, and that he did very well.
I think both wars were a tremendous mistake, but making **** up just to smear soldiers is kind of lame, isn't it? This isn't a Christian jihad.
I agree...I think one issue with heroes now-a-days is that we learn much more than ever about their lives and their opinions. Nobody is perfect, nobody is going to exude 100% purity, Chris Kyle was a war hero. That's it. His outside life and what he believed as a civilian shouldn't really damage his legacy of what he did overseas.
