Gretna police officer suggests U.S. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez 'needs a round'

“I will tell you this: This will not go unchecked," Lawson said. "I’m not going to take this lightly and this will be dealt with on our end. It’s not something we want someone that’s affiliated with our department to make these types of statements. That’s not going to happen."

Lawson said he does not think the comment constitutes an actual threat, but it appears to violate the department's social media policy, which he said all officers have read and signed.

1. Gretna? What the hell is Gretna and why should I care about it? Do people say, "Where Gretna goes, so goes America"? I don't think so.

2. One person who happens to be a policeman. There are around 17,000 people in Gretna (I looked it up). Does this one person speak for everyone in Gretna? Is he the leader of a "Kill AOC" organization that pervades Gretna? Or is he one idiot shooting his mouth off online?

3. Someone says the words "social media post" and what?...it's supposed to be referring to some huge hotbed of...something? How many people were exposed to that guy's words? Very few, I'm thinking.

4. Why on earth would j brown's body think this is "Breaking News"?​

After those thoughts run through my mind, after I post those thoughts here, guess what? I won't think about this Gretna guy again and I won't think about j brown's body's thread. I'll just leave it to him to wonder "What is happening to this country?"

1.) Have you read the Bible? Your god is the ultimate mass murderer. How many people did he kill in the great flood myth? How many infants were killed? Your god is the farthest thing from being either loving or pro-life.

2.) If your god is not omniscient and omnipotent then there is no religious morality because you never had a choice if your god knew what you were going to do before you did, which is required for him to be all-knowing. That idea also eliminates the concept of sin because a person cannot even be held accountable for their choice if they didn't choose what to do. you only have the appearance of free will, which is not actually free will. If you believe that your god has a plan for your life then that eliminates the idea of prayer because you are asking an omniscient deity to change his plans. If he changes his plans because of you then he has to rearrange his entire world because your change would affect others.

3. There is no proof that you god exists, any more than there is proof that Zeus, Jupiter, Vishnu, Ra, or Thor exists.

4.) We have a separation of church and state in the 1st amendment that keeps your myth and every other religious myth out of government policy.

So it should be news when a person who's job it is to uphold the law calls for a congresswoman to be shot. How many racist scum like that were allowed to get away with injustices and other stuff against people of color. In the past you had sheriffs leading the lynching.
