Greatest NBA Player

Wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong.

Beat the Lakers - when their dynasty ended
Beat the Pistons and Celtics - when they were past their prime.

Who who who did LeBron beat? Two dynasties in the Warriors and Spurs. He beat the OKC Thunder, a team with 3 Hall of famers.

You show that you do not understand enough to qualify to challenge me on this.... I explained this already.

Can you really compare beating the Utah Jazz twice with beating a dynasty in the Warriors and another dynasty in the Spurs?

The Warriors won MORE GAMES THAN any other team in the history of the NBA.

The Spurs? Duncan, Leonard, Manu, Parker, that's 4 HOF'ers. Bron still beat em'

aGAIN... i explained this already...

It seems you are just trying to manipulate the facts and adjust them to your argument. If the Utah Jazz were that damn good, why didn't they win a title when Jordan retired? Same with the Suns and Lakers.

If I have to inform you that Magic was out due to AIDS and that Barkley had severe back pains that ended the Suns run and that Utah under Sloan were in the playoffs were in seven consecutive Western Conference Finals during the 90's then you are really in over your head... as is already evident.

How many titles do Sloan, Malone, and Stockton have?

Is this how you debate?

You lost, son... it is over.... move along.

You don't even have LeBron as a top 5 player?

I almost don't want to include him in the Top Ten. Even with his cherry picking super teams he has lost 5 championships and one of his championships came because the Warriors collapsed... not because he won it.

Yet you have Magic Johnson in your top 5?

Yep. He was the chief player on teams that beat some of the greatest NBA teams in history... the 83 '6ers, the Celtics and Pistons... and the teams that he lost to were also the greatest teams of all time.

The difference is LeBron is a self-made great player. MJ had Kareem and a slew of great role players like James Worthy. Kobe Bryant had Shaq. Jordan had Pippen. All these players were coached by legends.

LeBron did it by himself with green rookie head coaches.

My type 5 which consists of:

* career achievements
* Individual greatness
* clutch moments

1. LeBron James
2. Michael Jordan
3. Kareem
4. Wilt Chamberlain
5. Tie between Magic Johnson, Larry Bird, Kobe Bryant, and Tim Duncan - Depends what era you were born in.

Pat Riley. Rookie Coach. ...and Dwayne Wade, Chris Bosh Kevin Love and Kyrie Irvin are all All-Stars...

He did not do it by himself in the slightest.

AND LeBron didn't beat any of the greatest teams like the others did... beating great players/teams is the sign of true greatness.

There is no way that LeBron is #1 in any way on any list. I can't take this seriously anymore...

LIE #1 LeBron didn't beat any of the greatest teams like the others did

LeBron beat two dynasties, the Spurs and Warriors. He beat the Thunder, a team with 3 MVPS - Harden, Durant, and Westbrook. So which dynasty did Jordan beat again?

LIE #2 LeBron played with a bunch of great players

His first 7 years, the best player he played with was a point guard named Mo Williams.

In Miami, When LeBron led the Heat to 2 titles, Dwayne Wade was on the decline due to his bum knee. Bosh was a role player in Miami. He may not even make the HOF.

In his second go-around with Cleveland, Kevin Love is not even in the same league as Chris Bosh.

Irving has been proven overrated.

LIE#3 LeBron had great coaches:

Paul Silas
Brendan Malone
Mike Brown
Erik Spoelstra
David Blatt
Tyronn Lue
Luke Walton
Frank Vogel

So which of these coaches are in the same league as Pat Riley, Phil Jackson, or Gregg Popovich?

LeBron is a self-made talent. Once again, comparing LeBron with Jordan is a bit unfair due too the many advantages Jordan had over James. It would be like saying Donald Trump is a more successful businessman than Shahid Khan. Khan was not born into wealth, thus making his accomplishments more impressive than Trump.

James never had elite teammates or elite coaching. He didn't have a father growing up. He is a self-made legend and for that, he deserve the #1 spot.

LeBron beat two dynasties, the Spurs and Warriors.

The Warriors imploded after a 73 win season.

The Spurs... yes... one team.

He beat the Thunder, a team with 3 MVPS - Harden, Durant, and Westbrook.

Not MVP's when he beat them...

LIE #1 LeBron didn't beat any of the greatest teams like the others didSo which dynasty did Jordan beat again?

I am sorry... what one did Jordan beat? The Pistons, Lakers and Trailblazers... then the Utah Jazz.

My God Man! You want me to take your posts seriously? No ****ing way.

The rest just has to be a waste of my time. Stick to Brady worship... at least that has SOME merit.

That's not bad. I'd switch a few around.

1. Michael Jordan
2. Wilt Chamberlain
3. LeBron James
4. Kareem
5A. Magic Johnson, Larry Bird, Bill Russell
5B. Kobe Bryant, and Tim Duncan - Depends on what era you were born in.

Of course I'm old enough to have watched Russell et al practice. So that has an effect on what I think.

LOL. Don't you have to win at least 1 championship to be considered a dynasty? LOL!

The Lakers and Pistons were on their last legs.

The SuperSonics and Blazers. If these teams where that good, how come they never returned back to the NBA Finals?

Also, LeBron beat the Pistons and Celtics, a couple of "dynasties." If the Utah Jazz are considered a dynasty in your book, certainly the Pistons and Celtics are too.

The Blazers did and I never used the term dynasty... that is your Straw Man.

You do not seem to know enough about basketball to debate this with me....

I am requesting the mods to remove you from this topic thread. You should be banned from talking about basketball. Magic Johnson is in no way possible better than LeBron James. Heck, he's not even Mr. Laker anymore. Kobe Bryant. Just ask Laker fans.

More lies. The Blazers never returned back to the Finals after 1991.

You just did. I am a Laker fan. Been so since 1980. Magic was better than Kobe.

The Blazers were in 3 Western Conference Finals in a row...

1990 they beat the Suns
1991 they lost to the Lakers
1992 they beat the Jazz

They went to TWO (2) NBA Finals

1990 they lost to the Pistons
1992 they lost to the Bulls

You know even less than I thought.

Your Player Ranking is henceforth a joke and I deem you unworthy of discussing this topic with any relevance.

It is a bit of a travesty you don't give credit for lbj for beating the greatest team in NBA history (the warriors). A team that Steve Kerr, Jordan former teammate said would smoke Jordan's team.

Who has more points? Assists? Rebounds? Who has more Mvps, more Finals appearances, more NBA all-firs teams?

How did it a longer time period and was more consistent?

The majority of nba players think lbj is better. The majority of NBA coaches think lbj is better.... because he is better.

From Bill Laimbeer: LBJ was better than Jordan.

Just look at Lebron. He was way bigger than Jordan. He would manhandle him one on one.

Also could you imagine if Lebron played in the 90s? He would have been unstoppable. He's built like a Mac truck. A lot of those teams.in the east - Pistons, Knicks, Heat, Pacers lacked talent. That's why they resorted to playing football on the court.

Lebron was built like a combo of Jom Brown and Gronk. He would have been unstoppable as a football player.

Back when they didn't call ticky tacky fouls, Lebron would have feasted. No on could have guarded him!

You absolutely suck at debating. You got the Trailblazers in the Finals 100% Wrong and now this:

In a poll conducted by The Athletic of 117 current NBA players, Jordan is considered the greatest of all time, and it’s not even close.

Michael Jordan (73%)
LeBron James (11.9%)

Michael Jordan or LeBron James—Who Do NBA Players Think Is the GOAT?

NOT EVEN CLOSE.
