GOP Privately Considers Dumping Trump

All that is relatively true but that is neither here nor there had Bush 41 been able to keep his word and maintain more support. There is no derail. We will see if the administration will keep its word or not in this case and the consequences will play out. I think being honest and keeping your word is always better than not.

Like Mexico paying for the wall or Trump eliminating the deficit? You actually think Trump cares about keeping his word? :lamo

What? That fairytale is the most debunked piece of malarkey there is. It also does not address Trump's defrauding voters by illegal payments of hush money right before the election. Besides much of the dossier has now been proven to be true.

So an nda is illegal to you? Companies all over the world are not shaking in their boots.

Untrue.

Bruce Ohr warned FBI that Steele had credibility problems. The bureau forged ahead anyway

So far so good.

So what do you hate more? The low unemployment rates for all citizens or the better economy?

I hate having an incompetent criminal in the Whitehouse. His aim is enriching himself and his family while destroying the rule of law and the country with it.

The"NDA" that Cohen arranged at Trumps behest put him in jail for 3 years for election fraud. It is the President who should be shaking in his boots.

Getting past the CNN drama
This seems important: "committed bank and tax fraud worth more than $20 million, according to a media report."

I think the split on Kashoggi is the GOP testing the waters: how much disloyalty will Trump's base allow? The time will come soon when criminal evidence is presented, when talk of impeachment looms and the GOP are looking at the base and seeing just how much law and order they can get away with.

Further down the track looms a 2020 election where a lot of them will see Trump as a liability when their own seats come up. They've seen how many seats can be flipped after two years of madness. They doubt he'll win and don't want to get dragged down with him.

Take from the MSNBC rumor mill for what this is but since that bipartisan letter came out. I feel the tide has changed. You have Trumps supporters in the house/senate and then you have everyone else. But like this says. The bottom is falling out. Trump is worried. No one wants to be COS. The Russian NRA bunny just flipped. One should be asking these Republicans, what more evidence do they need? Are they waiting for the pee tape to be released?????

REPUBLICAN LAWMAKERS PRIVATELY CONSIDERING DUMPING DONALD TRUMP, MSNBC GUEST SAYS

This might be the dumbest, non-story yet.

Speaking to host Nicolle Wallace on Monday, Eli Stokols—a White House reporter for The Los Angeles Times—suggested that concrete evidence of wrongdoing by Trump could make continued Republican support for the president untenable.

....

Stokols continued, noting that Republican lawmakers “are starting to tell me privately—some of them—if there’s obvious evidence, the bottom’s going to fall out. They’re not going to be able to stand by this White House and that’s a looming problem for the president.”

Of course if "concrete evidence of wrongdoing by Trump" turned up, then his support would fall off. But you could insert anyones name in place of Trumps and that would be true.
Do you think if "concrete evidence of wrongdoing" by Pelosi turned up her support among the democrats would falter? DUH.

Neither of those statements are remotely true.

Any politician should be held to the same laws we all are but your deflection is noted. It does not help.

The same group of people goes from being morally outraged at a consensual blowjob to shrugging off locker room brags about sexual assault and - what was it sixteen? - sixteen accusations of sexual assault.

They go from supporting a several-year investigation that started with real estate and turned into lying/tampering related to the blow job, to claiming that an equally broad investigation by special counsel that results in multiple indictments is a "witch hunt" that should be ended (before its target gets in trouble, naturally).

Oh, but these people will not support Trump if further evidence of criminality comes out? The people who had no problem with the hypocrisy between their stances? The people who demand the investigation end before it is completed? They're interested in the truth, but they want to end an investigation they know is a "witch hunt" despite all the guilty pleas and indictments, but even then they'd still give up on Trump if the investigation they want to end produced "concrete evidence"?

Yeah.....

Right...

The only way the vast majority of the right and the politicians they serve dump Trump is they feel it is in their personal interest. No doubt if and when the day comes, we'll hear endless speeches from these swine, stuffed to bursting with fake outrage. I wonder whether the percentage of them that actually admits being hopelessly and deviously wrong in their behavior regarding Trump. A fraction of a percent if we're lucky...

Man....Obama could never hope to be as transparent.

Falsely claiming that Trump's felonies are OK to ignore because Democrats would do the same thing is a deflection. You don't know what Democrats might do and it is immaterial what they would do. The LAW is blind to partisanship because FACTS and the truth are too. We must adhere to it or perish.

Hordes of democrat lawyers went to Alaska in 2008 for the purpose of finding dirt on Palin. Did she do something wrong? Not according to God but definitely according to democrat dogs determined to bring down every major opponent of the democrat party.

To hell with dirty democrat dogs and their unjust witch hunt persecutions of good Americans trying to save America from the democrat coup.

LOL This is Trump's own Justice Dept. doing their job of enforcing the law. When evidence is found that someone has broken the law what would you have them do? Was Palin indicted and prosecuted for any crimes? Not that I know of. If you don't like your representatives in Washington indicted don't vote for career criminals. We are a nation of laws and they are applied equally to ALL. You will see.

I never voted for Mueller or any of his team of partisan democrat barbarian lawyers. I did not vote for Obama and the mobs of partisans in government office who were appointed by ungodly barbarians. America is suffering from wickedness in high places which will not likely be purged until Jesus returns to judge the whole earth full of wicked rebels against God.

You mean some of them are beginning to wonder if that oath they took to uphold the constitution was more than just lip service? On that, I wouldn’t hold my breath. But they may finally be seeing the writing on the electoral wall showing them that the GOP has lost their majority in every single voting block demographic except white evangelicals thanks to Trump.

Just wait and see the republicans go beserk when democrat presidential candidates in 2020 REFUSE to release their tax returns! And if the democrat president takes a vacation immediately after the inauguration in 2021, the republicans will be spitting chips.

Wow, your saying nuh-uh to me is the most elegant argument ever seen by man. No rebuttal could possibly defeat the dreaded nuh-uh.

Except...

Wait...

I've got it!

Hey Fletch: Yuh-huh!

Defense of what? Most of the Republicans/Conservatives I know don't like Trump, but we know the liberal alternative is so much worse we put up with his antics. I don't defend what he says or does, but he is at least on the right road, going in the right direction. Liberals are speeding in the wrong direction.

Well, I disagree with your position on direction, but recognize it's a personal political preference. What disturbs me is this idea that people hate liberals more than they care about the rule of law, decency and institutions of accountability. Sticking with this President looks like it will have dire consequences for the Republican Party (and possibly the country).

There has never been a more "wicked" and ungodly human being than the man you helped put in the Whitehouse. I'm afraid you will be judged for that.
