So people were complaining that she was going to have to face questioning by a bunch of dudes so the dudes arrange for the questions to be asked by a woman experienced in asking such questions. Now that is criticized.

People were complaining about the arbitrary deadline given to Ford to testify when all Ford wanted was a few extra days. So they gave her the few extra days but that isn’t sufficient.
