I don't look at journalism that way. Especially in the era of 24/7 reality tv headline news journalism. That's to me is just reality tv. Fox, CNN, Brietbart, MSNBC. Political opinions programming.

Now, I listen to NPR in car to and from work. I think they do an excellent job of giving the details of a story without all the hyped up headlines and words to attract clicks.


I do view all news from major cable and online sites as worthless. It's merely headlines with opinions.

How do we get reporters just reporting? I don't know. Capitalism works to make money. In the news business, selling advertising is what brings in the cash. So journalists are at the whims of those buying advertising spots. And the more clicks, likes, watching, that happens, the more money a company can make.

I watch PBS daily and religiously.

I am sick to admit that I watch that worthless program.

Just to follow up, I didn't say he wasn't good enough to play in the NFL, just that he wasn't that good of a quarterback.

His last 2 years with the 49'ers he started 19 games and they only won 3, while losing 16. His final year in 2016, he started 11 games and they only won 1 of them.

The concern is that this current hyper-sensitivity is opening the door for abusive practices. For example, one of your co-workers wants the promotion that you are up for so they file an anonymous complaint that you said XYZ on some social media platform and it makes them uncomfortable that you are in their workplace while harboring those thoughts. Your employer, not wanting to get sued for racial or gender bias, fires you and hand them the promotion. It doesn't matter whether they were really offended or not. All they have to do is claim to be offended and they can make that claim about damned near anything.

So be careful of what you say online. The internet doesn’t mean you get a free pass on your comments.

Social justice activists are now able to get people fired for expressing "incorrect" ideas on social media. A woman was fired from her healthcare job where she worked for 20 years, because she criticized BLM. She didn't say anything racist, just made some criticisms.

JK Rowling has been attacked by activists because she has some complaints about the transgender movement. She had been a victim of sexual abuse, and does not like the idea of biological men being allowed in women's restrooms and dressing rooms. She said there are places where any man can say he is a transgender woman, and it could make things easy for sexual predators. She also says that most teenagers who think they are transgender will grow out of it. I have read that in other places also.

So, of course, Rowling is hated by the transgender activists. But since she is so rich and famous they probably can't ruin her life. They can ruin people who depend on their jobs and careers to survive. They find out their victim's employer and send thousands of emails, claiming the person is a racist, or homophobic, etc., until the employer gives in and fires the victim.

I have read similar things by Matt Taibbi and Sam Harris. They are both liberals, but both are horrified by the power these activists have now over all of us.

We don't even know if we are completely safe here, where we are supposedly anonymous.

I very much doubt they would have targeted her if she had made a video saying all white people should be killed.
