how many have won what 10-11 championships?

and are imo, the BEST team player EVER to have have the game (Russell)

and then we have Jabbar or Wilt....both extraordinary players

my opinion is that Jabbar edges out Wilt...yours apparently differs

i didnt get to see Wilt play live....i did get to see Jabbar play live a number of times

and maybe that is why i am slightly biased towards him....

opinions vary....i will stick with my top 4....yours is apparently different

No they wouldn't. Small ball would destroy the Oak Tree and Ewing. Cavs would rain down uncontested threes all day.

Exactly right. These modern teams are stronger, faster, and shoot the lights out. LeBron spaces the floor and brings a level of athleticism like no player of his size ever has.

Like Byron. Miller. Bird. Kerr. Etc.?

And they had shut down defenders like Pippen and Jordan. But tell me what is Curry going to do when he is getting hard fouls? What is LeBron going to do with Hack a Lebron and being levelled to the floor all season against the Bad Boys or Pacers or Knicks?

And how do ANY of these little finesse teams stop Shaq?

Do you remember LeBron's first run to the NBA finals? He used his body like and wrecking ball and basically muscled his way through a powerful Pistons team with big Ben Wallace. Sure, they got crushed by the Spurs in the finals, but LeBron's toughness can't really be questioned.

I do agree that Curry would struggle in the NBA of the 80s and 90s. He would have gotten pushed around the court. He still would have been a great player, but not an MVP.

It really bugs me when people try to call today's NBA players soft. Give me a ****ing break.

Scottie Pippen was a superlatively good defensive player, and LeBron James would have eaten him for ****ing breakfast.

The San Antonio Spurs (twice) and Dallas Mavericks have already proven you can stop LeBron James in the finals. He's very mortal.

The only time in the playoffs I saw Kobe Bryant manhandled was against the Pistons in 2004, but by then Shaq was on the decline and Karl Malone got hurt.

Actually the Spurs shut down LeBron 3 times. If it wasn't for a miracolous Ray Allen 3-point shot. And yes, that was a lucky shot because when you look at the totality, the Spurs really dominated the Cavs.

I am not saying James is soft. I am saying he would not be AS DOMINANT back then due to the constant pounding that Shaq and others took. Cant punish them for the pounding they took when talming about GOAT. Shaq would utterly destroy the useless big men and useless rebounding in the current NBA.

And when he got past Pippen and Wellington or Longly or Rodman floored him... ?

Yeah, when I think of quality NBA big men, I think of Bill Wennington and Luc Longley.

If they floored him, they'd get called for the fouls.

Hack a Lebron. WTF...

6th 40-point game in one post season. Clearly, Lebron is phenomenal.

Saying different just proves someone is a hack.

phenomenal in this era of "allow the lay-up"

Jordan. Shaq. Kobe. Charles. Hakeem. The list is longer than that of guys that would eat lebron for a snack with the older rules.

lol...I can't help it that you live where it's already tomorrow but haven't seen **** yet that happened today.

Lebron dominated a watered down eastern conference. He only wins 1 final if he plays in the west.

Just a different era. I watched an interview with Reggie Miller where he had to pick LeBron or Byrd...and basically it didn’t matter if you put LeBron in the past or Byrd in today’s games where superstars are untouchable and there was no comparison.

Of course...then it gets into era’s...and rules and supporting casts.......

LeBron is a great player. I think that’s enough.

Being reasonable takes all the fun out of this...

Or the East doesn't win any. LeBron would be the best player in the West too, Broh.

They didn't play defense back in the day. Scores were way higher.
LeBron would have scored 40 a game.

And because of the 3 pt line big centers tend to be an endangered species. They have to hedge or many centers will go to town on the 3s. And hedging is HARD. Cleveland, Houston, and Golden State won't even let most opponents play a big man.

Shaq, as great as he was, would be much more limited now. Ask Jordan from San Diego what happens in the fourth quarter to all star centers who can't make free throws.

For instance your seven footer is going to have to guard 6-6 Draymond Green when you play the Warriors.

Puh.lease...
