Global warming my ass.

You have no concept of what global warming means. Global warming is not about one cold or hot day. It is rather about years and years of research and observation. Science indicates that the average temperature has gone up by a specific number of degrees over the last 50 years. Even though it might not sound significant, there are creatures that have thermal niches that can be strongly affected by this temperature change. If these creatures/plants go extinct, a lot more will follow, and the day when all humans regret not paying attention to such a serious problem like climate change will come soon.

Do not confuse climate with weather. Weather is local and short lived - usually a matter of days. Climate is regional and deals with extended periods - centuries or more.

Global warming is a overblown theory supported by made up models and selective input.

Anthropogenic-catastrophic-global climate change is, at best, an anthropocentric arrogance, or at worst, a hoax.

We do not live in a climatologically optimum time period. Our plants are starving. The plants we need to survive evolved with much higher atmospheric CO2 concentrations. Humanity would net-benefit from a warmer, wetter world, with atmospheric CO2 between 1220ppm and 1600ppm. We would also net-benefit from global temperatures as warm as they were during the Roman or even the Phoenician high period.

Laughable. Utterly laughable.

First off, long-term exposure to CO2 levels that high is actually damaging to the human brain.

Second, the last time CO2 levels were 1200-1600ppm was two hundred million years ago. None of the plants we eat are evolved for that!

I’m guessing bricklayer is one of those types who doesn’t believe in things like Evolution, either.

Roman or Phoenician?

We are higher and headed straight north.

We evolved in CO2 conditions like that. Your belief that we live in a climatologically optimum time period reveals your ignorance of history.

Welcome to the Forum.

With 2 of us pointing out the utterly bleeding obvious the resident Trolls will be even more infuriated.

Do you have any evidence that submariners have reduced mental capacity?

So, to clarify:

The two of you think humans evolved two hundred million years ago?

Or 30 million years ago at 1200ppm.

Trees evolved during periods of much higher CO2 levels cerrtainly evolved during much higher concentrations.

Trees also evolved in periods of much lower concentrations. And they are evolving now.

The gist of the problem that might not be obvious to plumbers is that evolution is an incredibly slow process and the rapidly changing levels because of man are making the organisms on the planet rapidly try to adapt to a new reality.

The problem, of course, is that major environmental destruction occurs when you apply rapid change to a system that adapts slowly. For a dramatic example, consider the meteor strike at the KT boundary. Environmental disaster for thousands of years.

Never been on a sub...huh? Lol

Your argument that highere levels of CO2 are harmful is shown to be wrong because the level on submarines is generally tried t be kept below 1000ppm. They geneerally don't manage this. Old submarines had much much higher levels of CO2 which was nothing as the air in there was green in colour due to the amount of uric acid in it.

Great. Let's see your evidence

The gist of the matter is the need to actually understand what you are talking about. You don't.

Good to see the know-nothings taking an active interest. Bless your hearts.

"Greener planet" is not inherently beneficial to human beings. Our food crops gain more mass with more CO2... and become less nutritious.
