Giuliani Ally Parnas Got $1 Million From Russia, U.S. Says

Rudy Giuliani’s associate Lev Parnas got $1 million from an account in Russia in September, a month before he was charged with conspiring to funnel foreign money into U.S. political campaigns, according to U.S. prosecutors who asked a judge to jail him for understating his income and assets. “The majority of that money appears to have been used on personal expenses and to purchase a home,” prosecutors said in a court filing Wednesday. Parnas failed to disclose the payment to the government, prosecutors said. The payment raises provocative new questions about the nature of the work Parnas and his associate Igor Fruman were doing and who they were doing it for. Much about what they did remains unclear. Giuliani and his lawyer didn’t immediately respond to requests for comment.

Just yesterday I wondered out loud who is bankrolling Giuliani's trips to Ukraine and the money to pay the corrupt former Ukraine prosecutors he is interviewing. Russia? Laundered money?

Giuliani just settled his third divorce out of court and is probably hurting for cash. I wish the SDNY would get on with it and indict the smug little drunk.

We are under external attack acting within Congress & the White House. It's why I now support the Democratic Party. They, for better or worse and despite their many flaws, are our only hope in having fair elections and keeping our democracy.

Their relationship appears to have been that Rudy was the relay man between Trump and Parnas, and Parnas was paying Rudy with Russian money.

But that's obviously nothing compared to a workplace romance between a couple of FBI agents that think Trump is an @sshole. You probably wouldn't need both hands to count the number of FBI agents that don't think that about Trump, at this stage.

So do we have recourse now that it seems quite likely and possibly provable that Trump has been receiving Rudy's services as a gift from Russia? It seems clear they took steps to conceal this. Is this sort of slippery BS actually legal?
