Gerrymandering - whether by D's or R's - is a national disgrace...what should be done about it?

It is nothing less than stealing people's votes, their voice in the governance of their own country. It's about as morally justifiable as breaking into someone's house and taking their valuables or stealing a 65" TV from a store.

And yet the Supreme Court has turned a blind eye to this moral outrage.

If Texas succeeds in disenfranchising almost half of its population, it's going to create a domino effect the likes of which this country has never seen. And millions of people will lose their right to determine what kind of governance they want in the country they live in.

American politics itself is a disgrace to the entire nation. Its an embarrassment. We should all be very ashamed.

On the bright side, this could backfire on Texas Republicans. By creating more districts that Trump won by 10% or more and diluting the MAGA vote, that increases the possibility that Democrats can win additional seats if things get bad enough in this country.

Gerrymandering works....until it doesn't.

Very little can be done about it.

The concept is hardwired into the election process.

It is nothing less than stealing people's votes, their voice in the governance of their own country. It's about as morally justifiable as breaking into someone's house and taking their valuables or stealing a 65" TV from a store.
This is over the top.

Moreover, it tends to have a short shelf life. Demographics within any district tend to be fluid.

And yet the Supreme Court has turned a blind eye to this moral outrage.
It isn't any kind of outrage.

If Texas succeeds in disenfranchising almost half of its population, it's going to create a domino effect the likes of which this country has never seen.
Texas is not trying to disenfranchise any part of its population.

I'm curious what dominoes you expect to fall.

And millions of people will lose their right to determine what kind of governance they want in the country they live in.
This Trump level exaggeration.
