German - American relations at breaking point because Nordstream II - How will this end? [W:539]

Re: German - American relations at breaking point because Nordstream II - How will this end?

Of course im proud of my home. You not?

My state Thüringen is center state of Germany, called green heart of Germany because forests. Ho,e of Goethe and Schiller as well as Martin Luther.

I'm currently living at Meck-Pom which is also great but miss my home. Im quite sure you would too, so i dont get why trying to talk omes home down.

East Germany... Home of the Trabant.

Re: German - American relations at breaking point because Nordstream II - How will this end?

I dont talk your home down. I did not like what i saw. Thats my personal opinion. If you like it, thats fine.

Look, if i participate in a school exchange program, i usually cant chose where i get send. If i end up in Alabama, Kansas or Oklahoma or Arkansas i would be pissed as hell. Thats not meant as insult but the area you live in is fundamental different to Germany in a way that i think i would not like or enjoy. If you are happy tzere, then thats great. Im sure your state has positive aspects.

What's interesting is that until I started reading your posts I had nothing against Germany. Far from it as a fair number of my ancestors (not too far back for that matter) are from there. Somewhat west of your state though.

Re: German - American relations at breaking point because Nordstream II - How will this end?

No doubt because they helped kick Germany's ass more than one.

Factually Incorrect.

Again, Incorrect.

India did not depart until 1948. Other territories later than that. Remnants of the empire remained into the 1990s when Hong Kong was abandoned.

Yes. Thanks to the Marshall Plan and the US helping you take your baby steps.

Incorrect

:lmao

And yet all the cool kids have them....

US, China, Italy, UK, France, India, Russia, Spain and even Thailand. Japan and Turkey have carriers under construction.

Hell... The only major player without a carrier was Germany.

Because we dont need any. We could build 12 General Ford style carriers each year from our budget surplus alone. But what for? Our command says carriers are outdated and cant stand a few minutes in a advanced conflict. Easy to detect and mostly defenseless against modern weapons.

Merkel actually proposed to build several carriers but the idea was dismissed as waste of money.

And please...cool kids? Italy? A german colony. France? Bancrupt and a german colony. India? A black hole. Russia? Bancrupt, its old Diesel carrier always looks like on fire and breaking down. Spain? A german colony. Thailand? So ****ty that its own king spends more time in his german luxury hotel than his own country.

US? Bancrupt and broken down. Deals with Covid 19 like a 3rd world country.

From Hessen?

And no Dayton, your problem always was that Germany does not bow to UsA

Re: German - American relations at breaking point because Nordstream II - How will this end?

Guess. Hint: Location

It did not show on my mobilephone.

And whats your problem with eastern Germany?

Eastern Germany got zero support after the war. Worked hard to get up, later had a peaceful revolution, toppled a communist regime and got its freedom.

The Trabant is a symbol for it. You know what Trabant was before WW II and the division? Audi.

And after Reunion its now Audi again.

Btw i visited California last year. Was in San Francisco.

Typical Ossi.

Taking credit for the advances West Germany made and the institutional derision of anyone not German.

And Italy a "German colony"? Italy predated Germany in becoming a nation.

France a German colony? No, France wasn't save for four years. On the other hand much of "Germany" was a French "colony" until the English saved their asses.

Spain a German colony? Spain was a world power and never a "colony" of anyone.

Fantasy.

Tranbant was made by a company that was founded in 1957 and that failed after the fall of the wall and was resurrected to make parts for VW.

Come on, give me a hint. Just the region. So shy?
I might discuss personal matters outside of here, but with friends only.

And inside or outside of here, you're not one of them.

Goethe was born in Frankfurt, Schiller in Württemberg and if today's Thuringia hadn't been under Saxon rule (bad enough already) in their time, they wouldn't have wanted to be found hanging dead over a fence there.

Luther, not born there either, described the university of Erfurt as a beer hall and a whorehouse.

Best feature of Thuringia is the next best flight out.

Spain and Italy are bancrupt and at the whim lf our mercy. They are EU members and thus a german colony by definition.

Germany is the hegemon of europe. You may dont like it but thats how it is.

And btw Germany was founded before Italy. In tze year 962 after christ with the coronation of emperor Otto I.

Now knowledhe as most americans.

Trabant was made in Zwickau, the former central of Audi. After WW II the former Audi plants were transformed into Sachsenring and after reunion were made Audi again.

I dont blame you, i know your education system is rotten down. You even have people who believe the earth is flat.

In other words... The factory started in 1957 and died after the wall fell because Trabant sucked.

Former Audi plant =/= Trabant

Former Trabant plant =/= Audi

I don't blame you. You simply can't understand that others know more about German history than a claimed German.

TRANSLATION : None were "Colonies" of Germany.

And modern Germany =/= Holy Roman Empire (Which was not very Holy and definitely not Roman). 1648 - End of the Holy Roman Empire

Modern Germany = 1870s

Re: German - American relations at breaking point because Nordstream II - How will this end?

Your ancestors spoke German then as little as they do today.

Because Saxon cannot even be considered a language. It makes even the Bavarians laugh :2razz:

true, but you do know that today saxon language has nothing to do with old saxon tribe? Thank fo Barbarossa and duke Henry the lion the dukedome saxony was crushed and the titlte moved southward to thuringian lands - all "plattdeutsch" (lower saxony, Westphalia, Anhalt and parts of Mecklenburg) dialekts are saxon and quite similar to English and Dutch

Re: German - American relations at breaking point because Nordstream II - How will this end?

meanwhile London is Still the lapdog of america you English are a joke

@Feldermus WW2 British tanks were crap they were no match on the ground against German tanks ... the English couldn't get out France quick enough they had to rely on the 51st Scottish Highland Division to help them escape and were thanked by being abandoned by London ... we you control the airspace like in Italy and after D Day air support made the difference and when British tanks faced German tanks in combat without air cover the British tanks lost ... the Soviet union won the war for every 1 German soldier the Western allies killed the Soviets kille 6 and they face 75% of the German armed forces meanwhile the Western allies faced a fraction in comparison and the Germans still reeked havoc on the western allies

The only people that are a joke are Scots Nats...literally everyone else in the UK thinks they are a bunch of socialist retards...we want you to have your dependence on Germany (ie, Scottish "independence") so that we can point and laugh at you.

Was this your daddy...Lord Haw-Haw - Wikipedia

The British army generally under performed during the second world war. At the start of the war it was not prepared for massed armed conflict of the blitzkrieg type used by the Germans , it was basically an Empire police force (I think I read this in Max Hastings WW2 book). The Royal Navy and the Royal Airforce were another matter though...The Battle of Britain was won due to the inventiveness of the British (Radar, making reasonably good fighters cheaply out of wood), and the Battle of the Atlantic was a great victory for the UK and USA...99% of shipping made it without being attacked and the Kreigsmarine were a complete failure.
