These children were born trans and they should be allowed to be who they are instead of who you think they are or who someone wants them to be. How much do you know about human sexuality and gender?

They do change their minds occasionally and they are guided by a team of Drs and psychologists. Transgendered children and teens aren't making medical decisions by themselves, just as transgendered adults are not, despite what you appear to believe or what you have been told.

The problem is not the transgendered children and teens but adults who seem to want to make a political and social issue of this situation. Socially conservative republicans discovered a new minority to attack 2 years ago and now they are blaming everyone but themselves for the problems that they caused by trying to politicize a medical issue as a way to stir the partisan pot among their ignorant voters. Trans people have been using the bathroom of their gender for years without an issue but now the GOP decided to make them a target by politicizing it.

The fact that most of these conservatives forget the trans guys exist and if they are forced to use the female bathroom of their choice then perverts won't even be required to dress in drag before they use the women's bathroom claiming to be transguys. I've known a few f trans guys and I don't want them in the lady's bathroom. They may not have a penis but they are definitely men and they act like it.

Nobody... everybody at the school knows already. I work in a high school with transgender kids... (about 7 or 8?) ... nobody cares. The kids use whatever bathroom or locker room. The girls are by far the most accepting. Two boys that now wear school skirts and use the girls dressing room, etc. hang out with the other girls all day, giggle and run around being girls... I am sure that there are a few bigots that care but they don't ever say anything.

There are always a few jerks and bullies and they would still be jerks and bullies even if the child/teen wasn't transgendered. The fact that these students are being truthful to themselves isn't going to change the situation.

I didn't play by the rules of the popular kids, their cliques and I told the jocks to take a long walk off a short pier and I was targeted for it in school because of my instance of marching to my own kazoo.

How am I singling kids out for different bathroom requirements? Trans girls use the girl's bathroom, just as they have been. Trans boys use the boy's bathroom, just as they have been. There was no problem until social conservatives created the problem by making trans kids out as an aggressor, despite any evidence to support that claim.

There are many people who still have not come to grips with a desegregated society. They would prefer to have separate white-only schools and whites-only businesses. They would; also support hetero-only Christian businesses and separate schools for LGBT people.

In the eyes of many making American great again means making American white again, with the other demographics having second class status, including women.

It doesn't matter to their classmates that they are transgendered. Transgendered students want to be left alone and let them use the bathroom of their gender identity. There wasn't a problem before until the Republicans decided to use this to still the pot for partisan points among the uninformed and the bible thumpers.
