George H.W. Bush labels Trump a 'blowhard' in new book

Fact remains. Most Americans voted against him. Besides calling it an EC landslide is a joke. He squeaked by winning three key states by a handful of votes.

Trump won states no Republican has won in a generation. Not only that, Romney lost those states by nearly 1,000,000 to Obama. The fact that trump won them at all is a major accomplishment and if the republicans are able to keep places like Ohio, Pennsylvania, Michigan and Wisconsin in their electoral column in future elections means democrats will be on the outside looking in for the foreseeable future. His message resonated in those states. Blame racism and Russians all you want, but don't whine when you lose again to the guy in 2020.

A couple of thoughts, if I may.
Both Bushs had their time, both were very quiet and reserved once out of office, something I always applauded. It makes me a bit curious why they are so outspoken now. Both had ample advice and experience to offer Jeb. Both couldn't turn a dry turnip into something exciting. May be it is because people are tired of career politicians who, like the Clintons, feel entitled or just lost touch.
Blame Trump all you want, but don't forget analyzing the shortcoming of both party's candidates.
When Trump had his first rally, others should have paid more attention to what got the crowd excited, what people wanted to hear. Instead, they looked to their advisors, the elitists, the analysts and failed to profit from what was right in front of them.
I am glad there is a new wind blowing in DC. The dinosaurs need to be replaced. Trump is a bitter pill to swallow, but hey, he was smart enough to hear the whisper when others failed to hear the roar.

Fine. Even if you have zero respect for the man, that still doesn't change the fact that he still is your present.

He's neither my present, my past or my president.

He's neither my present, my past or my president.

Trump is president of the USA. Fact.
If you are an American citizen, Trump is your president. Fact.

You don't like him. Fine. But it doesn't alter the facts.

He's not my president. He's all yours.

You must mean like never taking vacations or playing golf. Oh wait.

Or getting Mexico to pay for his wall? Oh wait.

Or unifying Congress? Oh wait.

Or repealing Obamacare?. Oh wait.

Or suing all of his accusers after the election? Oh wait.

Or releasing his taxes? Oh wait.

Or renegotiating all our trade deals and making them better for America? Oh wait.

Or ending crime right away? Oh wait.

Or draining the swamp? Oh wait.

Or divesting himself from his empire? Oh wait.

Or you must mean his promise to never cut Medicaid? Oh wait.

Or his promise to never cut SS? Oh wait.

Or reducing the deficit? Oh wait.

Or increasing funding for the treatment of PTSD? Oh wait.

My hand is tired. Otherwise I could do this all day.

You bought all of these lies. Hook, line and sinker.

Well... Trump makes things more entertaining. He puts color in a dull painting.

George H. needs to stop rolling up behind women and grabbing their rears.

It was an electoral college election. Trump won in a landslide by the rules of that game.

I don't think you know what "landslide" means. Trump won 57 to 43 in the Electoral College. That's one of the poorest performances on record: 47th out of 58 to be exact. The median electorial college victory is 72% of the Electoral votes.

He not only lost the popular vote but his electoral college win could be categorized as a squeaker.

Hey whatever helps you sleep at night man.

Well... you were the one who started with “Kiddo”, and thought you were schooling me... Only to learn, you don’t know half as much as you thought you did.

That’s OK... so long as you learn.

Here... from an article published yesterday:

But “this is all different with Donald Trump,” presidential historian Douglas Brinkley said.

“It allows us to understand how much a renegade Trump is in the Republican Party,” he said. “Trump represents the outsider, and the Bush family are quintessential insiders.”

The Bushes have despised Trump for decades, Brinkley said, citing reports that the elder Bush snubbed Trump as his running mate in the 1992 election.

The country club Republicans can’t stand Trump, and they couldn’t stand Reagan either.

ROTFLOL... B’Ding!!!

PS. He only claimed celebrities could grab.

...And when you’re a star, they let you do it. You can do anything.

Bush: Whatever you want.

Trump: Grab ’em by the *****. You can do anything.

And as we are learning from that bastion of Marxism on the Left Coast... they can do oh so much more than grab. It explains how Felonious Bill, Jeff Epstein, Weinstein & Co were protected for so long. When you’ve got the Goebbels Inspired Media Propagandists (GIMPs) running cover for you... you run rough shod over the less powerful... in this case females.

What’s Lord Acton’s saying?

Power corrupts and absolute power tends to corrupt absolutely? My guess is we have just begun to see the wrath of the circular firing squad in Hollywood and amongst the GIMPs.

The GIMPs tried to bury Felonious Bill’s riding dirty... but Drudge made himself a name when he broke it.

Had it been a popular vote election, the entire electoral process and strategy would have been different.

It’s something you’d think members of the Socialists of America Partei (SAPs) would learn by now (12-months after the fact), but they obviously have failed at this most simple bit of understanding.

Oh well. It partially explains why you’re SAPs.

Landslide? Did Trump tell you that?

You do recall how accurate the polls had been about Trump?

Like Epic Fail.

Here... Mark Penn, the Clinton Pollster has been sounding the warning for some time:

Polls that consistently show President Donald Trump with low approval ratings underestimate the actual support for the controversial commander-in-chief’s agenda by the American people, Bill Clinton’s former pollster claims. “In the end, will voters cast ballots on tweets or jobs?,” Mark Penn asked rhetorically, in what perhaps would seem be a warning for both anti-Trump Republicans and Democrats.

Among other things, Penn points out in his Op-Ed in The Hill titled “Why the polls are still wrong” published yesterday that many polls fail to screen out nonvoters and noncitizens. He also seems to suggest that actual voters can hold at least two thoughts simultaneously, i.e., disliking Trump’s inflammatory tweets or comments (or by extension, unnecessary feuds with his political foes), but still back his policies.

https://www.inquisitr.com/4553552/d...ratings-bill-clinton-pollster-sounds-warning/

He’s undone much of Obama’s legacy, and he’s less than 25% into his first term.

Deep down, those who know what is going on on the Left... are not laughing... just as those on the Left who were in the know during the election... were not laughing.

And those suckered by the lies of the Goebbels Inspried Media Propagandists (GIMPs) were... crying on November 9, 2016.

You can believe the GIMPs, but considering their abysmal record, and their open warfare on Trump... I’d think twice about anything coming from the GIMPs. Because they’re simply unbelievable, and it’s transparent as hell to anyone with open eyes.

306 to 232
He won with numbers they believed Clinton would win by... actually exceeded 538’s projection for Hillary... ROTFLOL... Whoops!!!
https://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/2016-election-forecast/

Whoops!!!

In fact, there was one of the Goebells Inspired Media Propagandists (GIMPs) broadcasts where they’d basically thought Trump would barely get over 100 electoral college votes.

Whoops!!!

Yep... it was historic, it was a landslide, it was crushing, and it was an ass kicking.

Wonderful too.

My it’s a joy reading this WaPo blog/article:
Hillary’s double digit lead one month before the election... ROTFLMFAO...

The election is an electoral college election... campaigns would be run very differently if it was a popular vote election.

Bottom line... Trump crushed Hillary, and he had coattails, as the House and Senate remained in R control thanks to Trump.

Obama & Hillary decimated the Socialists of America Partei (SAPs). Not since 1920 have the SAPs been so weak.

The SAP bench is empty, the state houses in R hands, Congress in R hands, and a vast majority of Governors are R’s.

This reminds me of the meeting between the N. Vietnamese Colonel and the US Colonel in the aftermath of the Vietnam War, where the US Left helped defeat the US Military (the US did not lose a battle on the ground)...

You know you never defeated us on the battlefield,' said the American colonel. The North Vietnamese colonel pondered this remark a moment. 'That may be so,' he replied, 'but it is also irrelevant.'"
— Colonel Harry G. Summers Jr. and Colonel Tu, April 1975, described in the book On Strategy

Fact is... Trump helped the R’s kicked ass... every which way. It was crushing. It was awesome. It was a landslide. It was beautiful.

The SAPs... are pretty much irrelevant... unfortunately, there is a ton of RINO’s in the R party.

The only thing he has done is by executive order. His own party hates his ass.

No, it's not too late to complain. About what he does while in office. Giving in and choosing to not hold someone accountable is irresponsible.

It is true that his words have impact. Discussing them is futile other than in a policy attainment context or as a political science topic. But that is not the way people are commenting mostly.
