Gary Cohn to Resign as Trump's Top Economic Adviser

According to The Fire and Fury, Trump had sucked up BIG TIME to this guy before and during the campaign...he wanted this insider (Goldman Sachs) guy.

Ruh-oh

Hmmm. I'll wait for some corroboration other than F&F, but that is an interesting tidbit if true. Wonder why Trump would latch onto that one guy?

Because of his influence and he was one of 'the cool kids'. There were quite a few people that The Donald desired legitimacy and 'friendship' from.

I dont remember the specifics but if you read that book...more and more of it makes sense as things play out.

ESPECIALLY Kushner. (And Hope Hicks)

Trump's top economic adviser, Gary Cohn, is leaving the White House

The chaos continues.

Let's face it, Gary Cohn resigned because he thinks Trump is a moron and doesn't want to be associated with the mess that Trump is creating.

(1) Trump is a genius

(2) Trump only hires the BEST

(3) and ONLY AFTER Extreme VETTING

(4) This is the most jackassed administration in my lifetime (57 years) and that is saying a lot; actually it is the saddest **** for 'murica

(5) MARA = make 'murica regurgitate again ...........

I believe Obama was inaugurated in January 2009. And I believe from January 2009 to mid 2014 is a bit more than 14 months. Nobody ever taught you how to read a calendar?

You are the mistaken one. You alluded to staff turnover in Obama's Admin. over a period of five years, this Administration has not quite made it to 14 months. That will come on the 20th of this month. Trump inaugurated 20JAN17, today is 6MAR18. False equivalence, I think applies here................

#3 is particularly fun considering it seems few, in any, have been properly and completely vetted for their assigned security levels...

"But Hillary's emails!!!!!!!"

yeah; it's like this white house is like a third world '**** hole country' .................... but what did folks really expect with a guy named Cheeto ..........

he got the big tax cut that he wanted. probably decided to hop out of the car before Toonces goes over the cliff.

Yeah, I'd be more comfortable with a cat at the wheel myself.

you know, after having to put up with such a '**** hole presidency' I will never feel that bad if I **** my drawers & not change them for a week, or two ................ because that would be more favorable compared to the **** Trump is putting 'murica thru ..........

I have an e-copy of that book. I switched to another before finishing it, but I'll get back to it. It was amusing, and it's very true that much of it seems to have basis in fact.

The Trumptanic is tilting to the starboard....another rat leaves the ship. This has to be a freaking record.......The Apprentice-Presidential Edition must be in sweeps week. I remember when the Conservatives had a tirade that Obama took the Bust of Churchill out of the Oval Office. Trump can't even get invited to the UK and not a problem for Conservatives.

But at least the band will bravely continue to play to the end (FOX News).

Plus a whopping dose of whataboutism, I'd say.

The list I posted was to compare to Trump's White House were all people in the Obama Administration and it covered something under five years of resignations. For those capable of any kind of objectivity or fair mindedness, it illustrates that coming and going in anybody's White House is not uncommon. Because we aren't dealing with political operatives or the permanent political class in Trump's White House, it is a whole new thing and it is quite understandable that there will be more turnover when trying something new.

It isn't the big deal the snowflakes and other Trump haters are trying to make it out to be.

No big deal at all! Trump said so himself at the presser with the leader of Sweden, he has ten top qualified applicants for every post in the White House. I scoff........and furthermore:

Trump was invited to the U.K. by the Prime Minister and the Queen and he accepted the invitation. He postponed the trip himself.

What is he trying to do that's new? Hiring his son-in-law and daughter? I guess that's new. Letting people with no security clearance run around? Hiring Amarosa, a reality TV star?

Is cutting corporate taxes and lowering taxes for the rich hurting the elite?

I guess we've never seen this level of conflict between personal business interests and government before. That's something new.

If you can identify any of those names that didn't leave the Obama administration as reported, go for it. I'm pretty sure they all did as there are threads here someplace on most of them.

You realize that 36 in 5 years is at much lower rather than 21 in one year, don't you? If you extrapolate at the same rate, Trump's cabinit will have 105 people leave in 5 years.

If it gets the right people into the right jobs, it will be well worth it. For the first time in many decades, the President is thumbing his nose at the status quo and is determined to get things done/make things better. To break with the permanent political class involves a lot of trial and error until the right solutions are found.

That is far far better than it is to leave people in positions where they aren't happy or they are utterly incompetent but so long as they remain on the right side of the aisle, they prosper. It is instructive to me that there are a few exceptions, but almost to a man or woman, those who have worked in the administration and left it, have been singing the President's praises and while they don't agree on every point with the President and/or do the bidding of their masters--it is a sorry administration when everybody agrees on everything. Almost every one leaving the current Administration is confident that good things are happening and will continue to happen.

But haters are gonna hate and they don't give a damn whether they are spewing lies or falsehoods to express it.

Well , there is a problem with that statement. THe right people are not getting into the jobs. The problem with kakocracy's is that they never get better.

Is McMaster next? Bolton met with the President today.
