I am not being dishonest.
You are the one that can't tell me what the difference is between the guy in AZ that is capped at 10k and the guy in NY that is capped at 10K.
if they are both at 8k then no harm no foul. if they are both above 10k they are capped at 10k.
there is NO DIFFERENCE.
who cares what the state tax is both SALTS are capped at 10k. once they go over that they are capped at 10k.
what their state tax is doens't matter. 10k is 10k.
I did tell you.
The fellow with the same income.. in az.. falls under the cap.. because his state has lower income taxes.
The fellow with the SAME INCOME in NY.. goes above the cap because his state has higher income taxes.. and thus he ends up getting the same income taxed TWICE.. while not in AZ.
AND on top of that.. The NY fellow is already subsidizing the fellow in AZ since his state sends more money in taxes than it gets from the federal government.. while AZ benefits from getting more from the federal government.
who cares what the state tax is
The republicans did.. purposely setting the cap so as to have more impact in blue states that have higher state taxes.
You ARE being dishonest here.. and everyone knows it.
