Jason Van Dyke's wife speaks out after former CPD officer beaten in Conn. prison

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Jason Van Dyke, the former Chicago police officer who shot and killed Laquan McDonald has been beaten in prison, and his wife is demanding answers.

Jason's wife, Tiffany, says that he was assaulted in his cell by more than one person after he was placed in the general population at a federal prison in Connecticut. Van Dyke's attorneys said the former officer was attacked on February 7.

A former cop & black kid killer - in the general population? I thought characters like him were held in segregation. And more than one other guy in this cell. Must have been quite the scene. Now all he has to worry about is getting shanked in the chow line. Let the punishment fit the crime...
 
Imagine that, I'm shocked to my core, violence in prison. Bet he wishes he still had his gun and an endless supply of bullets.

More of these killers should end up in prison and it might start the police to thinking before they pull the trigger as their first line of defense.
 
Too bad the idiot wouldn't drop the knife, but that cop clearly wasn't thinking when he shot the knife holder several yards away. I really don't care about that cop.

A patrol officer in south or west Chicago has one of the worst, most thankless, ****ty jobs in America. Its like patrolling a third world country, but your government prosecutes you when you inevitably behave the same way people in these neighborhoods behave. I would love for all those who think I'm wrong to try being a cop in south or west Chicago, and see how long it takes for you to lose your marbles.

I can't help but agree with you on that. Horrible situations like that should demand justice. But they never will, because the justice of black americans is a retarded joke in which they constantly murder people and demand that cops stand aside.

Are they surprised to find out that's the atmosphere they are signing onto? Or do they think "it won't happen to me"?

Regardless, when a cop starts "losing their marbles" it's time to own it and step away. Not keep hanging on until something like this happens.

Was Al Capone and his gang Black? Is the Russian mafia Black? Is El Chapo Black? Is the Yakuza Black?

Is it possible that there are gangs in almost every country?

No one is asking cops to stand aside. I think all they want is that cops stop burying them in tickets. They want cops to stop harassing them and treating everyone in the neighborhood like a criminal. They want cops to stop shooting unarmed Black men. They want what any human being wants.

1. The prison authorities knew very well what they were doing when they placed him in the general population.


a. Hopefully, the Van Dykes can get a good attorney to make sure that the officer is protected adequately.



2. This case should discourage anyone who is thinking about being a police officer (or teacher) in any large American city.
