For Roy Moore’s insistent defenders: Here’s why now.

So you don't care if he is innocent of guilty. Its just ideological reasons why you don't want him in office then and why you are claiming he isn't fit to be in office.

You think that more than forty unassociated people got together to derail Moore's Senate campaign? If you really are such an irrational serial denier, then we have no basis for maintaining a productive dialogue.

When it comes to keeping someone out of power or putting someone in power it isn't that hard to find a bunch of people to lie their ass off. Its a town of 30 something thousand people. You don't know if those people don't actually know each other or heard the Washington post was looking for dirt on a politician allegedly groping young teenage girls and decided to make **** up about Moore.

I assumed the OP of that thread where I originally made that statement was talking about Conyers.

There exists enough evidence that leads me to believe that Moore probably did the things he has been accused of doing. Again, I can't say he should go to jail, but I don't think he is a good enough person to be elected to a Senate seat. Yes, I have ideological differences with him, but more importantly, I decided a long time ago that bigoted, racist, homophobic, hypocritical fake Christian zealots and their supporters have no place in my life. Then I found out he is an alleged sexual child abuser. Not a big surprise, but I certainly am not any more inclined to support him.

I don't know any more or any different facts than you do. I choose not to declare a witch hunt and fabricate a conspiracy theory because a rational person believes that that scenario is less likely than the scenario in which more than forty unassociated people are telling the truth.

That only matters if you are a citizen of his state, at voting time, and you cast a vote.

You do not know if those people are actually unassociated from each other or not. Even if those don't know each other it doesn't change the fact that they might have heard of the sexual assault allegation and decided to fabricate some to make the story more believable.

The article that you linked said that rumors that an accuser lied are not true.

So not one single accuser has rescinded her story. They all still say they were victimized by Moore.

You said five accusers renounced and then just one accuser renounced, but the truth is zero accusers have renounced. I think it's awfully irresponsible to post misinformation like that and that it's terribly unfair and insensitive to the accusers themselves.
