I volunteered for the military in 1969 and was proud to do so coming from a military family. And to voice my opinion about what I see as one of the worst cases of political use of our DOJ does not make me any more or less independent, but certainly makes me question how you see Barr and Trump's actions in this case. Flynn twice went into a court and admitted his guilt under oath. Any other person would never have been allowed to do what has happened, but Trumpsters are okay with it as it looks to them like that trump is poking the people Trumpsters do not like in the eye. And that is what trumpsters like about Trump, he pokes those people in the eye they hate, and gets away with it. Trumpsters have become pitiful.

I'm doubting they'd use Flynn for the first conviction there. IMO the act was intended for Americans who really undermine the elected government to harm the US; the incoming National Security Advisor to the person who has been elected president discussing relatively harmless things would be a stretch for that. Nixon and Reagan's campaign on the other hand, deserved that and probably treason.

The Logan Act has never been used for a conviction, and was used in an indictment only once in 1803 when a newspaper of Kentucky published an article supporting the formation of a separate nation in western United States that would be allied with France. The law is widely viewed as a grossly unconstitutional law and if ever used, would gut the First Amendment.

You got it bassackwards. Flynn's release is a milestone of the upward progress the DOJ has made; It undos the conspiracy, dirty tricks and illegal conspiracies that grew up under Obama.

The prosecutors would have been laughed out of court, Flynn was part of the transition team and had every right to speak with foreign dignitaries, not to mention the Flynn Kislyak phone calls showed nothing illegal or untoward.

Quit being snippy. TRY to act like an informed poster. You referred to Flynn changing pleas as a lie. Under the court, it isn't, changing a plea doesn't subject someone to perjury, further the plea he entered was under coercion that wasn't revealed to the court.
