Florida COVID-19 death rate chart

They are only dying because there is so much testing. Without the testing they would all be alive.

No. They are dying because they spent too much time together at the beach & in the bars, then went home & infected their relations.

Well, there is that. But that is logical.

JFC, if people want to hide in their basement, then they should hide... But if people don't want to hide and decide to live their lives, they know the risks. If people choose to go out to bars, beaches, churches, and meaningless protests and riots, and they catch Covid-19 and die, what's the big deal? People go swimming all the time and know full well that there's a chance they could drown, but they do it anyway. It's called "living" and everyone should be allowed to choose how they go about doing it.

Please spare me the "Not social distancing put innocent people at risk" line that you all so frequently use. If you see people not social distancing, or not wearing a mask, then stay the hell away from them if your worried about being infected. I'll say it again, this isn't the Spanish flu or the Black plague, it's merely a ramped up version of the standard flu and catching it isn't a death sentence by any stretch of the imagination.

If you are that fricking terrified of Covid-19, then buy yourself a full body bio-hazard suit or stay the hell at home... You have the FREEDOM to do that if you wish.

That is not the point..... the reckless social interaction keeps the virus alive and moving. You going to the bars is not necessarily only a risk to you, its a risk to anyone that comes in contact with you, and whoever comes in contact with them.

The CV is not a "ramped up version of the flu".... it is far deadlier, with far more long-term effects, known and unknown, than any flu. That statement is grossly ignorant and thus irresponsible. The least you can do is know what you are talking about. Study up!

Coronavirus Disease 2019 vs. the Flu | Johns Hopkins Medicine

We, as a society, have asked our fellow citizens to pitch in, to be an active member of the community effort to stop the spread. Its not hard. Unfortunately, its seems some people are far too selfish to be good citizens. This is a matter of everyone doing their patriotic duty for their country, their fellow citizen, their family. I guess we are just to caught up in "me, me, me" to bother. Its a good thing WWII happened so many years ago when people had stronger moral compass.

You think it’s OK for people to not follow the guidelines, thereby infecting others, and those others have to stay out of the way or even vacate the area. You’re suffering from an incurable condition known as stupid.

Why not do what other countries have done and tame the virus? Far fewer deaths and a far better economy.

There are on average 3,536 drowning per year. So far we have 135,000+ deaths from COVID-19, and that's ONLY AFTER all the shutdowns and other measures that have been done.

Plus, act of swimming does not often infect your parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles with a potentially deadly disease.

You are welcome

You can't staw away from them if you have to share subway train with them to get to work or if your job involves interacting with them.

After turning around and raising my mother after her daughter died, my great-grandmother helped raise me after my mother's divorce. I have it ingrained into my mind, by someone who lived through bothe the Great Drepresson and WWII, that we salvaged virtually everything, and everything from nylon to copper was rationed to the extent that is severely limited the products that people could use. Today people can't be bothered to put a god damned mask on, and are bitching about not being able to go out to eat.

Look, I wear a mask when I go into a store or a public place with a lot of people are around, and I practice social distancing. I do so because I just think it's the right thing to do, and that is my choice. I don't want nor do I need the government to make these type of decisions for me.

The time for lock downs has passed. It's time for the government to step aside and allow people to make their own decisions. I think they should keep us informed about the virus and continue to recommend what precautions to take so we can better protect ourselves and others, but millions of families are on the brink of financial disaster and they need to be allowed to work so they can put food on their tables and feed their children.

You really haven't got a clue about this virus, and suggesting it is some "ramped up version of standard flu" is beyond ignorant. It's recklessly stupid, but I guess that's your constitutional right.

No, Coronavirus Isn't 'Just Like The Flu'. Here Are The Very Important Differences

Here’s Why COVID-19 Is Much Worse Than the Flu

Furthermore, do you know you're free of infection, and if so, how? Do you know you can become reinfected? Scoff by all means, but don't whine if you get sick-and at the rate infections are soaring in the US it may be sooner than you think. Good luck.
