You can't even state what he did that was specifically for his son. Ukrainians, the international community, and even Republicans at that time were calling for Shokin to be fired. No one (except Trump just recently) has called Shokin, "a very good man". Hell even in the transcript of that call, Zelenskyy very pointed did not agree with Trump, instead turning the conversation, avoiding such agreement or comments at all about him not being corrupt. All info we have from the Ukraine about the investigations into Burisma state that Hunter Biden was not under suspicion of anything. Most of the investigations were in fact about things that happened while the owner was still in government, prior to Burisma hiring Biden.
Most people who pop positive on military drug tests are not sent to prison or charged with any crimes at all, just discharged, usually OTH or General or Admin. Especially in the reserves, where they rarely waste time or money on either court martial or masts. And popping positive on a drug test would require a lot more evidence to convict in civilian court.

I know a girl (E6) who refused to take the anthrax shot, dropped down twice during 2 masts, and was kicked out OTH by the CO on the 3rd (she had also assaulted several guys while she was their LPO, but she did not go to mast or get any actual punishment for these assaults, despite one involving a large pair of shears, on watch, and causing the person she threw them at to bleed). This was while on active duty, not just the reserves. She went on to own her own gym. Her father, we were pretty sure, was a Senator or Congressman. Like it or not, children of politicians or even just those from rich families get special considerations. The Trump kids I guarantee could easily get the same sort of job Hunter Biden did, even under the same circumstances. Most people would never have been loaned money (especially the amounts) so many times, as Donald Trump has if they had things like bankruptcies and/or lawsuits for not paying their bills like Trump has. But he got them because of his name. And while it is highly unfair, and proves rich/celebrity privilege, it is not illegal.
