Yes, and many of the grandkids favorite movies, like Rogue One, are acceptable for a younger audience, given some guideance and parental explaination.
Some movies and games might seem to be in that group, but you find out too late, that they're not.
So, before mentioning even the possibility of seeing such content, a responsible parent/guardian/caretaker, reads information about the movie/game, including on forums like this one, to get an idea of what to expect, and make an informed decicsion, based on the particular content, the child's needs/limitations/sensitivities/maturity, the parents wishes, the best judgement of the person making the decision (usually Mom!), and the laws in your state.
When all of that is done, if the decision is to allow viewing or game participation, now comes the hard part... the Guidance and Explainations.
You need to know a bunch before hand, so that you can think through HOW to explain it, how much detail to go into, and re-evaluate your decision, should you find, on reflection, you cannot come up with satifactory answers to the questions you KNOW will be asked.
Its called Parenting (and/or Grand Parenting)
