Family and hate of LGBT

So the other night my old man called while I was streaming Overwatch, and of course Renae plays overwatch, I didn't see who called I just answered. He thought it was my wife. When I made it clear it was me, he got super ****ing mad "Don't ****ing talk to me in your girly voice ever again".

I realized a truth at that moment, as hard as it is, that I have to walk away from family now. I can't wait for them to get over it. I'm done. It hurts like hell. But that sort of hate and bigotry I refuse to subject myself too.

My Aunt and Uncle I lived with as a teen cause they were over seas and told not to bring their teenage son? Physically and mentally abused me. I blew the whistle and escape that, but no one called the cops. My Uncle today is a respected member of the family. My other uncle, the one that abused my son sexually? Bastards in hell now, lung cancer, but the WHOLE family was there honoring him and think my son is a liar. I recently met with one of his other victims, his own son.

But being Trans? Black sheep.

**** family.

**** them. You gotta life to live and not everyone will be worth being part of it.

No, I have no problem with discussing issues, she's attacking me as being a self hating person who thinks trans people are and should be 2nd class citizens. That's offensive as hell.

I don't think that she thinks you should be a second class citizen.

I have always liked you, SheWolf. Not because you agree with me. But because you are very smart and astute. You get it. :applaud

Well, thanks. At least I have one fan around here... lol

:party

Yeah? What do you call it? "Tough love"

Do you know there are many women that believe women have no place in combat or even the military (and many of those women are military spouses)? Do you know there are actually gay men that think gay marriage is stupid? Hell...some black folk dont swallow the mindless leftist plantation mantra and actually believe in hard work as a means of achieving success. Do you realize that not everyone that lives a traditional left/liberal leaning lifestyle doesnt walk lock step in the empty headed leftist mindset and that actually DOESN'T mean they hate themselves?

But...its OK...because he apparently at some point said hurtful things about you.

What a ****ing crew.

I am not sure what this rant has to do with anything, or why it's a valid excuse for attacking MG for saying something "****ty."

Anybody can have an opinion. There is even a black guy in the news for joining the KKK. You want my opinion on that... I don't really have one. I don't really care.

Just like the OP, you can't handle some differing opinions, and so you're launching into attacks.

I have been way more calm and cool than this, even when the OP has blasted Medusa and I, and pretty much disparaged us and Islam, and basically spread lies all over and refused to listen to us. What I showed the OP, is called patience.

You both need to learn to have some. You both say pretty offensive stuff all the time, without blinking your eyes, and then over react over the slightest offense.

Show me differently because I don't see it. Do you love yourself, Renae? Be honest.

I tried, you ignored every point I made to keep on your selfish political agenda. You don't care about LGBT people, just how you can use us for your advantage.

I don't think that she thinks you should be a second class citizen.

No, she thinks I BELIEVE Trans are 2nd class citizens, because I do not support the idea of Transitioning/transitioned people serving in the US Armed Forces. I do that from a basis of having served, honorably, and being a Transwoman transitioning.
The two are not compatible for a number of health and well being reasons coupled with the needs and reality of military service.

People have differing opinions, yes, even on things like gay marriage or trans or even women serving in the military. That does not make them racist. it doesnt make them homophobic. It doesnt make them self loathing. It doesnt mean they hate themselves. Except to narrow minded ****heads.

Agreed. However, when it's something that makes them less of a citizen, then that is where I draw the line. Before women voted, there were the suffragettes and women who truly believed they were second class. Now try taking away women's right to vote today and suffer the consequences.

Thankfully, those who are gay can join the military now and be themselves in the process. And I have no doubt that trans people will be able to serve after the Orange Chimp is gone. It's amazing to me that such an advanced society as the United States seems to sometimes lag behind when it comes to equality. Thankfully, it usually seems to come around to what is right.

I hope you're getting the help that you truly need. :doh

Nobody gets to the above level of being condescending without some serious practice.

However, I do not go to church,...

Don't let that experience stop you. There are churches that will accept trans and homosexuals.

The saying "blood is thicker than water" is total bull ****. It's clearly not based on how badly people treat their family.

The actual quote is "The blood of the covenant is thicker than the water.of the womb." Meaning the chosen family is stronger than the one you are born into.

It's not less of a citizen, do you hear yourself? Are diabetics less of a citizen cause they can't join? There are diabetic professional football players that could run rings around most paratroopers. I guess in your eyes, they are.

Well, that's a strong accusation. How is she personally advantaged by LGTB? Financially? Some other means? I don't see it.

This post just shows how much distrust you have in people just because of their political lean.

All of this boils down to is being comfortable with LGTB, minorities, etc. who only agree with you politically. That shouldn't be the point of these discussions nor should society get stuck in that kind of tribalism. As somebody else already said, when it comes to LGTB and other minority groups, what we need to remember is that they are individuals first, and there is no right or wrong opinion for somebody to have. Just because somebody has an opinion you don't like, isn't really a good reason to make overreaching attacks on them either...

The point is, some people in this thread are way too victimized and brainwashed by their own partisanship that they can barely engage with other's without creating strawmen and feeling sensitive for no good reason.

As for me, I feel completely comfortable in this discussion. I am not worried about a stupid stawman political attack, nor do I wish to launch one...

America lagged far behind the rest of the world during the Suffrage Movement and ending slavery. It's kind of amazing that America thinks they are leaders when it comes to freedom, rights, and equality. When I studied American history, it did not appear America ever led in those areas.

Shewolf. I'm going to ask you a stupid question. Did you read her posts?

It's not her lean I care about. It's her comments that because I disagree with her view, I HATE MYSELF. You don't find that to be a "STRONG STATEMENT"? You don't find her accusation that I think Trans people are 2nd class citizens because I disagree with her a problem?

No, you find my disagreeing with her to be the problem.

I don't know if it matters to you or not, but I have more respect for you than I do simps, blue-pill high-heel shoe lickers and feminist enabling men. Never kiss a womans ass.

Some people find it easier to victim-blame than to man up and and deal with the reality that threatens to crack their perfect little world. By dimissing this as something that happened, they get to go back to their lives without having to think about this guy differently, or be put in the uncomfortable position of having something like that happen in close proximity and whatever responsibilty comes with that.

Given what you've told us, I feel like you'd be wasting time and energy if you were to strive to meet these people's expectations or feel any responsibilty towards them. It really sounds like you're in the process of figuring out how small your 'circle' is, and who should be in it. Family is more than just blood, and i wouldn't think twice about cutting ties with those who called your son a liar, and those who refuse to accept you for who you are. You owe them nothing, Renae.

I read her posts in this thread. Based on that, it sounds like you are rehashing a previous conversation or conversations, which I don't know about.

I am not taking her side over the military argument, nor am I endorsing what she said about hating yourself. I can understand that is upsetting, but some of the accusations you have made towards her are really difficult to understand. Telling somebody they don't really care about LGTB and are just using you, sounds like the Democratic Plantation meme. It just doesn't make sense in this context. How could she be using the LGTB community to get a personal benefit?

It sounds like you're in pain and going on the attack and lashing out, and not really communicating the real issue or issues bothering you. Based on this thread, it's understandable that you have pain, in addition, to undertaking a journey to find yourself and be happy. It's a lot to work through personally. Just my opinion, but I think you need to learn how to better understand all that's bottled up, communicating it to yourself, and addressing it so that you feel more peace.

Trans people have successfully and honourably served in the military before Cheetolini took away their rights. This is not about diabetes or bone spurs.... it's about equality. Caitlin Jenner -- a staunch conservative -- agrees with me.

No one took away their rights, MG. Obama is like you, cares about politics over the military and the members. Great, Caitlyn can agree with you. Did she ever serv? Oh she didn't.

The military is about breaking things and killing people, when you take away from that, you get people killed. Thats' why we have restrictions based on a variety of issues. DEAL with it.

Au contraire, trans rights have been taken away. It's truly mind-boggling that you don't see it.

Mind boggling that you put political agendas over the lives and well being of the US Armed Forces.
You don't get it do you? The reasons I gave for why a transitioning/transitioned service member's HEALTH AND WELL BEING are endangered are very real. The list of medical reason to disqualify you from the military is quite long. For a reason.

I think we've exhausted this, you and I disagree. You've never served, aren't trans, but hey... you know better right? You got all teh experience, and knowledge and wisdom! Shake my head at your foolishness I do.

I was just thinking. You identifying as a woman is the ultimate excrement test. If your wife will put up with that, she will put up with anything. Oddly enough, by literally wearing a dress, it causes you to figuratively wear the pants in the family.

I was wondering, while presenting yourself as female, have you ever been hit on by a NON-TRANS 18-24 year old female?

Well, to be fair, you not only transitioned since leaving but you're older, and even without the transition wouldn't be able to serve as well as before, am I right?

You're also m to f, which is different from f to m, and it's also different with age and baseline health.

It's hard to hear your personal opinion and experience alone, and take that as the ultimate voice on the matter. There are going to be obvious trans people willing to debate you with their own personal experience.

It's hard to listen when you aren't listening.

You know why Diabetics can't serve? When you're in combat, and you have a medical liability, you are a danger not only to you but everyone else.

Guess what, the military means you could be in combat.

That's the ultimate decider, what's the risk to you and those around you? Why is that so hard to get?
