Fact check: Trump, 15 false claims over 76 minutes

Well, I'm not a one drop person, an Italian ancestor of mine married a Cherokee woman but I am not Cherokee or Italian due to that, Obama however is 50/50 black/white i.e., biracial as in two racial groups. He threw his white half under the bus.

Ridiculous racial remark

Fact check: Trump's Orlando rally featured more than 15 false claims over 76 minutes

That's a lot of whoppers.

I'm still somewhat amazed (much less today than I was a year ago) that his supporters like being lied to so often. I'd consider it insulting my intelligence if the guy I backed lied to me over 10 times per hour.

What gives with this? Why do they accept it?

The list is absurd! Really, it's like a comedy routine!

Claimed Lie #1 Trump claimed the USA is the largest producer of oil and natural gas. CNN ADMITS that is TRUE, but claims it started before Trump. So Lie #1 actually is CNN's first lie.

Lie #2: "Trump suggested the Russian investigation was illegal and criticized the amount of money it had cost."

Hmmm, a "suggestion" is a lie because it hasn't be proven true? Hasn't been proven false either. CNN goes on to concede the investigation cost millions. So lie #2 is, again, CNN lying about Trump.

Claimed Lie #3: rump claimed Democrats had previously voted for a border wall.
"And you know we couldn't get the wall approved by the Democrats, even though they voted for it four years ago and six years ago and didn't get built, but they voted for it. All of a sudden, Trump is president, 'We don't want a wall.'"
Facts First: Some Democrats — notably excluding House Speaker Nancy Pelosi — voted in 2006 for the Secure Fence Act, which authorized 700 miles of border fencing. But the fencing was different than the Trump campaign proposal the Democrats opposed 10 years later, which was for a giant concrete wall.

CNN ADMITS what Trump said is 100% true, but wants to bandy over the word "wall" versus "fence." So Lie #3 is, still again, CNN lying by falsely calling Trump a liar, when he had not lied.

At this point, I stopped because this REALLY is just CNN laughing their ass off at people who read their absurdities. Don't any of you get tired of being endlessly punked by CNN? I mean, they think you are really, really stupid - and have a lot of fun jerking your chain with as absurd statements they can make to do so. CNN is laughing their own viewers. :lamo

Did he? What were the exact words?

Bi-racial.

Do you need a tutor? Take a look at his exact words for yourself. I realize making informed posts take a little more time, but then they are treated with a bit more respect.

Trump and much of the Trumpkins live in their own delusional alternate reality. It is a state of permanent lies and falsehoods that ignores facts and history in favor of their own nonsense that crosses the line to the mentally disturbed.

That is why they accept this.

You and everyone who gave you likes for your message didn't even READ the CNN list. It really is absurdities. :2razz:

and how's that Mueller Report working out for ya? since ya mentioned fake news...member Trump and family heading to Prison:lol:

More fake news. Trump promised Americans he would build a 25 billion dollar Wall and Mexico would pay for that Wall. ( Not fake news ). Mexico told, and is telling, Trump to stick his wall where the sun don't shine.

You and everyone who gave you likes for your message didn't even READ the CNN list. It really is absurdities. :2razz:

Prove this positive claim with verifiable, factual evidence if you can. ( you can't, and won't- guaranteed )

Nothing amazing about it. You swallow CNN BS unquestioningly; A CNN "fact check" is an oxymoron. Besides, we just know the difference between campaign rhetoric and sworn testimony. Besides, given the clown carful of Demo candidates there is no other choice.

Just curious...would YOU stand in line to go to a Trump Rally and chant about Hilary Clinton? Would that indicate you are an intelligent individual?

:lamo Wow, what an excuse for why Democratic candidates have to beg local unions to force members to attend so at least maybe they can get 75 people - as Trump turns away 100,00 having seating only for 20,000 - plus another 10,000 in the parking lot - people camping out for 2 days to be close enough to the front to get it.

So, you are claiming Democrats are boycotting their candidate's rallies so they don't look stupid? I agree with you. Attending a Democratic Party's candidate's rally makes a person look stupid.

See, impossible as it would seem, you and I complete agree on something. People who attend Democrat rallies "indicates" they are not "intelligent."

People attend his rallies like people flock to a rock concert. Trump is very entertaining. Democratic candidates give terribly gloomy, dismal and depressing ranting and sobbing speeches they deliver really badly.

Biden seems like he's not really sure where's he's at. Bernie is the angry old man shouting at a cloud: "Racist! Bigot! Sexist! Homophobe!" While Warren actually sometimes does talk intelligent, she's comes across as the angry old white haired white woman shouting "get off my lawn, you bums!' - while doing really failed attempts to talk and act like an average person - but being extremely transparently condescending instead.

Every Democratic Party candidate is a TERRIBLE speaker. Not one in 100 people could stand to listen to them for a hour. They'll change the channel within 7 minutes - only the partisan hacks still listening.

I mean the partisan's will cheer, but the Democratic candidates really do lack charisma. Try to name an election since politics was televised where the lesser charismatic candidate won? Hasn't happened. Charisma wins the presidency every since television - always. Trump knows this. That's why he draws massive crowds.

Oh, you don't know the techniques he uses to invite people too. I'm not going to tell. I've been invited 4 times, 2 before the last election and 2 since. Since I know he'll fill the house and I can see it on TV, no reason to go.

That is how much Democrats on this forum are out of the loop on what actually is happening in politics.

But you have a very creative theory of why Democrats won't attend rallies of their candidates.

You gotta love Trump supporters, the most delusional people I’ve ever met in my life, they are on par at this point with flat earthers.

“Anyone who points out Trump lies is mentally deranged!”

Like... the ****?

You are the one making the accusation. You are the one that needs to present the evidence.

Failing a responsive reply, I'll go with none of the above.

Because they're butt-hurt over 8 years of Obama, and they are willing to "stick it to the Libs" at any cost.

You think the Right is hurt now, wait until Trump is thrown out in 2020, they will have a meltdown. I sincerely hope Rump looses in a landslide.

You are a study in making absolutely anything fit your predetermined outcome. Right off the bat your #1 misstates the CNN piece. Here is Trump's quote that CNN called a "false statement".

"We are, by the way, the number-one producer of energy in the world because of what we've done right now."

Can you not honestly not see the falsehood in that statement? It was not because of anything Trump has done since being #1 started under Obama. right?

My statement was true.

ok so libs, name the worst dastardly lie in there and lets go over it then..

looks like a bunch of nitpicking to me.

How about 'Make America Great Again'? The only thing Trump is concerned about making great is his continuously inflating ego. That Trump fans haven't figured out something that obvious yet is a mystery.

I was pretty against the Republican party prior to Trump's election, but now I completely understand why basically everyone left of Dubya Bush is against Trump and the current Republican party.

It wasn't a speech. It was a political campaign rally. Also, just because they did not air the rally does not mean they did not cover it with more than a "pimple face."
Trump rallies the crowd with BS. That should be upsetting to any intelligent Republican.

I don't know about you, but I am waiting for a D nominee I can get behind. It doesn't look good. I am tired of radicals who cater to extremists. Lets hope there is one who runs for all Americans, even those who aren't so blessed, live in trailers and not in section 8 housing, who are poor and white, and not just poor and black. Those who run for America first, fix America's problem first, see to our laws, run for those who cling to the Bible and guns, and those who abhor both.
IDK, JMR, do you think that is possible?
The only way I can see that happening is by nominating a sound Independent, one who doesn't run for party and power, but for us.

you say Papadopoulous started this....didn't Australian Ambassador alert Obama? isn't that taking information from a foreign agent? just saying:lol:

No, the Aussies alerted our FBI. Besides, Obama wasn't running for office, and for the last effing time, NO ONE USED THAT INFORMATION AGAINST TRUMP DURING THE CAMPAIGN.

You can "lol" till the cows come home, but nothing about this is amusing, especially not the spell Trump has cast on the weak minded who keep excusing his behavior no matter what he says or does.

CNN reports... CNN has been anti-trump every since he was elected, CNN cut their coverage when the 20,000 + people there started chanting CNN sucks. Sorry Calamity (not), 20,000 disagree with your charge of mentally disturbed and this is just the start.

I bet you I can find 20,000 people who think Bigfoot is real. Truth is not a popularity contest.

During the 2016 campaign, A petition was signed by over 60,000 mental health specialist from all over the country warning the country that Donald Trump is dangerously unstable mentally.

"The Dangerous Case of Donald Trump" | Psychology Today

I know you think people at Trump rallies know more about mental health than mental health specialists, more about climate change Science than climate change scientists, and more about the military than military generals, but it’s not just CNN.

It's difficult to discuss all of Trump's lies at the same time. Let's pick out one and look at it:

How about this one (from the OP):

"When I came into office, we inherited one of the worst trade deals ever negotiated, the Trans-Pacific Partnership. Would've put you all out of work. TPP would have dealt the death blow to the U.S. auto industry, which by the way is doing great. Many, many plants are now under construction in Michigan and Ohio, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, South Carolina, Florida. They hadn't built one in decades and now they're all over the place."
Facts First: It is not true that automotive assembly plants hadn't been built "in decades" before the Trump era, even in these particular states.
Volvo broke ground in 2015 on a $500 million car plant in South Carolina; Mercedes-Benz broke ground in 2016 on a $500 million van plant in South Carolina. Also, there are no automotive assembly plants in Florida or Pennsylvania, and there are no publicly known plans for any. (Trump could perhaps have been talking about smaller companies that produce products other than completed vehicles, but, if so, he didn't make that clear.)

I've read the linked article. CNN has documented every one of its assertions using independent sources, including official US government data. That you don't like CNN is fine. For my part, I think Fox News is absolute garbage. But a thing is not true or untrue based on whether or not you approve of the messenger.

I was going to say that too. CNN documented the truth of every single lie Trump told.
