Anyone expecting that the presidency would be easier or less work than whatever they were doing before, was fooling themselves about the job. That's a frightening concept and certainly not a molehill in any respect. It may not even be a mountain, but it is concerning that that is where his head was at as he took the oath of office. He thought he was going to glide along in comparison.

I doubt Trump's 'honesty' completely - he is just playing for sympathy.

Pathological, serial liars like Trump never speak honestly - he constantly is looking to be worshipped.

I just don't put that much important on a person's personal semantics. I can see myself saying something like that in the same circumstance. You can't. So that's that.

Trump has a a world view that is dominated by being raised wealthy and "working" as an executive with effectively dictatorial powers.

To him a million dollar loan is tiny, and when you're in charge no one resists your will.

I have had so many jobs that turned out differently than I expected that perhaps I have more empathy for a person in that regard. But then I don't loathe and despise Trump or look for anything at all to criticize him. I didn't do that to Obama and don't do it to anybody else either.

People will often say things or express themselves differently than we would say or express ourselves. I have a great deal of tolerance for that.

My point was that Ivanka Trump has an official position as advisor to the President of the US.

It may not be paid but she has an official position , a title as to her position, an office in the White House, and is a part of the White House team.

We saw confidence in his campaign. All his ideas were the best, all his opponents ideas were terrible. He's said **** like this:

"I think apologizing’s a great thing, but you have to be wrong. I will absolutely apologize, sometime in the hopefully distant future, if I’m ever wrong."

He's flip flopped on NAFTA, NATO, China, etc. so very many things, even central ideas to his campaign. Now this admission is more evidence that all the bravado we've seen were lies.

He would have known how difficult the job was if he had so much as a halfway thought-out policy agenda. This admission confirms what the left already knew: he sold his voters a bill of goods that didn't exist.

To the bolded, that's it right there. If he had done his due diligence, homework, preparation, however you want to say it, he would have had a least a clue. But bumbling along on every superlative adjective he could muster in the moment was a big red flag he had not even considered how difficult the presidency would be.
