Example of Why I have a Hard Time Believing the MSM and Fact-Checking Trump.

If you two value the truth and aren't just knee jerk reacting hyper partisans, why haven't I seen you call Trump out on his far more numerous lies of higher magnitude and importance? You're picking out one mistruth among many truths in an attempt to discredit the entire media industry.

The first sentence had irony meters across the forum exploding...

I have stated multiple times Trump is an idiot and not only lies but makes factually incorrect statements all the time. In post #8 of this very thread I stated Trump makes so many ignorant comments that the idea one needs to manufacture more is sad.

I looked at the articles in question, and the trump quote in question:

Trump was boasting that he drew larger crowds than Beyonce and Jay-z. That is false.

You looked at a quote...from the person that is making the lie. Smart move there. You do know that the OP's video shows the full context and not just a quote written in an article right?

Yes Donald trump is a liar.

And the Hilliary clinton rally with jay-z and Beyoncé as guest performers drew 10,000 people. That is a respectable number.

Bahahahahahahahahahahaha.

"A random YouTube commentator confirmed for me my hatred of the media by claiming Trump's crowds are actually bigger than Jay-Z's, because this is the kind of issue I care about and is my last desperate attempt to defend dear leader."

Trump had the biggest inauguration crowd! He said it! We must defend it!

Seriously, if the MSM gets something wrong it excuses the fact that most of what Trump says is BS, and the rest is outright lies. Oh, and NK is no longer a threat.

The New York Times and politifact are correct: trump claimed that his campaign rallies drew more people in attendance than one of Beyoncé’s and jay-z’s concerts. The numbers don’t back trump up. Beyoncé and Jay-z drew larger crowds at their concerts than trump did at his rallies.

You didn't watch the video, did you?

Never mind. I read a bit further in the thread and found out you already got slapped upside the head for your stupid remark. You don't need me to whomp you, too.

Here is an article that talks about Trumps exaggerations in numbers of people at his rallies. Despite that exaggeration however the article admits that Trump quite often drew larger crowds than Hillary. I couldn't find a link that compared Trumps crowd size to that of Hillary when she had JayZ and Beyonce. But going by this article...even they admit that Trump more often than not had more people at his rallies than Hillary.

Yes, Donald Trump’s crowds are big — but not quite as ‘yuge’ as he often claims

I wish Trump's constant, pathological lying was the only thing wrong with Trump's tweets and speeches.

I just came across this video which exemplifies another example of my own experiences with many claims made by both the MSM, and certain Fact-Checking organizations that leads me to doubt them when it comes to Mr. Trump:

In this video, the presenter has taken a recent New York Times "fact check" article published on 08/02/18 and examined an issue raised in the title, a claim that his rallies drew greater crowds than Beyoncé, Jay-Z, and Bruce Springsteen concerts.

In the video we see him show what the alleged claim being fact-checked was, and a prior "source" from Politifact dated 11/07/16 cited by the writer to show this was not the first time Trump "lied" about rally crowd size comparisons with Beyoncé and Jay-Z.

Please note for the record that the writer of the New York Times piece also wrote the Politifact piece.

This video clearly shows that in BOTH situations the writer misrepresented the facts in order to "fact-check" as false/misleading something Mr. Trump did not actually say when each speech is shown completely.

This is the sort of thing several members of this Forum have pointed out over the last 2 years (remember for example the "insulting" dumping of food in the Japanese Koi pond report?), and the very kind of thing I have stated earned Mr. Trump my support back during the 2016 campaign. I checked those sources, and found that with one or two exceptions, they were either misleading or outright falsehoods.

The video is correct in stating if Trump is really so bad, there is no reason to "create" false or misleading stories unless there is an ulterior motive beyond just reporting the news.

IMO this is one of several reasons why so many people are openly declaring they are walking away from the Democratic party, and may undermine the alleged Blue Wave some are expecting this Fall.

Time will tell.

Remember this swill the next time he pops in to a thread with pointless contrarianism and an apparent belief that he sees clearly while everyone else is a dupe.

(Reread the first page of this thread at least; the usual happens there. At least one person makes the mistake of taking the time to point out why what he posted is swill and his response is to simply spin and attack. What a useless thread).

There is little meaningful difference between Laura Ingraham's disgusting TV comments re: "demographic changes in the country" and the alarmist racist crap that neo-Nazis peddle at rallies.
