No, it doesn't mitigate it either. He's a Congressman. This goes with the territory.
The territory being: Outside the Capitol, a CNN reporter with credentials waves you over, saying: MAY we have a word? MAY we have a quick comment?
Students? Contact the congressman's office first via letter or phone.
Also, after the first edit, the Congressman is saying "thank you." what did they say to him? Then the camera is right in his face. Why?
a) because all professional interviews are conducted at that distance??
b) To further provoke him and hopefully get a reaction you can put on Youtube (after blurring your own faces out)
