Janmaat tucks away the winner.

Amazing how these bottom dwellers can beat champions like Chelsea so easily

Comes down to the mental well being of the team. There is no doubt that Watford are a far inferior team than Chealski if they were both at the same mental plane so to say. However, at the moment the usual Chealski curse is being seen... the manager is not really in charge, and the team suffers. The manager will soon (if not already has happened) get fired and someone "better" will be appointed. It wont change much for this season, but might work for next season... and then we go through it again.

Have you also noticed the "Mourinho curse"??
He wins a title his first season, then he loses the dressing room, and all hell breaks loose

Wont happen this year haha.. and Mourinho loses the dressing room as soon as he steps in the door. He is damaged goods, much like Van Gaal is/was. Football players talk, and there are few now days that just have to work with him.. quite the opposite in fact. Now 10 years ago, there was still the myth of Mourinho so many players just had to work with him.. until they learned his methods of destroying a team from with-in to make sure he was top dog in the dog house.

I think Mourinho is a manager in decline.

You agree, or disagree??

Disagree.

- Two trophies last year including a major European trophy.
- Knockouts of the Champs lg coming up
- High points total with United this year, any other season they are either top or in a tight battle but unfortunately for them City have been near perfect this season.

Well lets look at it then.

Porto: Won the league and CL.
Chealski: Won the league 2 and the FA cup and other minor English cups. Was then fired.
Inter: Won Serie A two years in a row, and was lucky to win the CL.. Was already defacto on the way out because of his links to Real. Oh and lets not forget.. Inter were the only team in Serie A at the time worth anything. Juve were still coming back from their relegation and Milan and Roma were... well no where. He took over the freaking champions.. what would you expect.
Real Madrid: One La Liga.. in 3 years. Fired. Team in chaos with a defacto players revolt and it took several years to fix that mess.
Chealski again: Won the league.. and is fired again. Team is in chaos, players revolt. Their best players play like **** and they are in danger of relegation.
Unemployed for a while...
Man U comes along... Wins the EFL who gives a **** cup, and the minor European cup that gives him and Man U access to the CL.. something they would not have had in the league.... where they ended 6th.. worse off than the year before.

To me that looks like a manager in decline.. player revolts, sackings...Can he turn it around.. sure if he can stop having the players revolt against him..

Its mind-boggling to me that Arsene Wenger can still have a job.

If they finish outside Europe this year he has to be fired

He inherited a team in the Europa cup though so there was nothing he could do but win it. As an Everton fan if he’s a manager in decline then we’re truly ****ed

Just watched the best team in the world at present, with the best player and the best striker in the world playing out of their skins. If City win the PL and the CL this year, and De Bruyne and Agüero do not beat Messi and Ronaldo to the top awards, we'll know that the award-givers are merely a bunch of wagon-jumpers or corruptees. De Bruyne has been THE outstanding player of the season by any standards.

And Neymar?? Or do you think the fact he plays in Ligue1 kills his chances??

No, Neymar will have a reasonable shout and the remaining games PSG have got in the CL will be telling. PSG have dominated the French league in the way City are doing in England in a stronger league, so I still think KdB is well ahead of all the competition at the moment. Did you see his 3 assists from yesterday's game?

City looked the business tonight. Great game in Turin as well, nice to see young English players stepping up in the big games

And to think, Moaninho didnt think DeBruyne and Lukaku were good enough for Chelsea at the time

Honestly I don't blame him too much. He was 20 years old, competing with Schurrle and Salah, and apparently was quite moany himself. Fair play to him though - absolutely tearing it up right now. If City do win the PL and CL then yeah realistically he should be in there for the award. I really don't think that City will win the CL though.

Can't wait for Liverpool v Porto later, oh to be back in the CL knockout stages! Get shivers just thinking about the music :D

Messi wears Salah pyjamas.

Watching the FA Cup, Huddersfield Town v Man United and this is the first time I have seen the game stopped for a minute or more for a video booth review of a Man United goal. Goal was disallowed for offsides. Call was a pick em imo. When was the video review instituted? This hasn't been real smooth for American football.........

I think they're testing it out just in the FA cup for now

This past weekend there were two very entertaining FA Cup matches 1) Huddersfield Town v Man United, 2) Rochdale v Tot Hotspur. The second resulted in a rematch and the first was won by the less aggressive team. There was the video review, I mentioned in a prior post and there was a female lines person. First I have noticed the gender thing. I don't get many games in my market (large US city), but enjoy European Games and World Cup when I can. The FA Cup games seem to be an opportunity for the lower league teams to make a name and earn some money. The games seem better than EPL games in some instances. Is this because the EPL teams save their stars or is it a matter of the lower tiered teams playing all out? As in US football I imagine the gender equality is catching on. Is it (gender) a recent development or have I just not seen enough games?

Looks like City won't be doing the quadruple.

Looks like City won't be doing the quadruple.

Was a good (entertaining to watch) game. The entire second half was played on the Wiggan side the pitch/field. They (City) looked like the team up one player...........I like chaos in sports!

City won't be doing the quadruple, no doubt disappointing for their fans. Still, moving on, it's not the end of the world. They're 16 points clear at the top of the Premier League, heading for the last eight of the Champions League and they have Sunday's League Cup final coming up.

Hard not to be impressed by their performance overall.
