Elizabeth Warren releases DNA testing: she has Native American background

She did prove she has Indian heritage. And that’s all she had ever claimed.

FALSE. she claimed minority status as a Native American. She was factually listed as a minority attorney for 9 years. Her own test shows shes among the whitest of white people there is. Her descriptions of the stories her mother told her came AFTER Scott Brown called her on her claiming minority status when she wasnt. The bad part about living in Massachusetts is that we have to live through all of the stories that these horrible people do, those who dont just dabble in what theyve been told about it. Warren factually claimed and listed herself as a ?minority Attorney. Ill ask the yes or no which has a factual answer that will be dodged. Is Elizabeth Warren a Native American? yes or no

That is a cultural and/or legal question, not a scientific, objective one. Culturally and legally defined- and so always very contingent. It is not, and can obviously never, be something that science can ever answer objectively. Depends on what culture defines as minority, and how it’s being used.

It was defined by her as her parents telling her she has some NA heritage. Thats how it was used. That’s what Trump challenged her on. That’s what she has now proved. It was used to work with and help those traditionally targeted and discriminated against in society, not for professional advancement. You have chosen to define it in this situation so you don’t accept it because you just personally don’t like her politics. If you did, I bet you would be totally OK with how she has chosen to define it. It’s all very subjective.

Don’t try to sound like your question is some objective, scientific question. If you think it is, please give us the exact scientific formula (not what lawyers and administrators come up with for various purposes) for the exact objective number beyond which it is safe to claim a particular racial/ethnic heritage.

Until then, just relax and stay away from the bold and confident all-caps claims of true or false. It doesn’t impress anyone.

1/64 to 1/1024 PERUVIAN =/= AMERICAN INDIAN ANCESTOR, and especially NOT "Cherokee great grandmother who was forced to elope because of it".
Stop tryng to CHANGE HER LIES.

These are musrepresentations of the actual test results. And you are accusing others of lies?

Told ya...dodge. The answer is no. Factually NO. Our government identifies minorities in order to help them. Elizabeth Warren posed as one to gain an unfair advantage and in the process actually displaced a real minority. Doesnt get more scum than that.

^^^^ This is not trure and you know it's not true. Stop knowingly spreading falsehoods.

Actually, it can be answered 'culturally and legally'. Legally, she's not Native American, at all. The tribe actually told her to quit claiming she was. Their actual requirement is simply to document a Native American ancestor, and she can't do that.

Culturally, there might be a question if she had say, a Native American grandmother. Some Native American tribes will recognize 1/16th. But we're talking 6-10 generations back.

Someone claiming to be African American with the same percentage would be destroyed by the media and popular opinion. I'm amazed that people are still defending her on this. Why not just say, "Yes, that was stupid of her"?

Yeah, sometimes. But we're not talking about the government. We are talking about a particular university. Different policies. Different criteria.

Elizabeth Warren posed as one to gain an unfair advantage and in the process actually displaced a real minority.

No she didn't. Where did you hear that? Repeat investigations were done to look into it, and that is not the case.

Yes, but we are talking about the culture and legal policies at the University where she was working, not the tribe. She never asked to become a citizen of any particular tribe. I don't know why that's an issue now.

Huh? That is the WHOLE issue. This is the statement she made that created the Trump firestorm:

"I am very proud of my heritage. These are my family stories. This is what my brothers and I were told by my mom and my dad, my mamaw and my papaw. This is our lives. And I'm very proud of it."
-Elizabeth Warren

So what part of that is not factually true? Especially since now it is backed up by scientific evidence?

The quoted Trump challenge (which EW accepted) has been posted to you several times, you've read it and you know exactly what Trump said. You continue to foist a strawman knowing it's untrue. Stop.

Did she and Harvard or did they not list her as a Minority Attorney?

LOL. If Trump and his supporters thought she was claiming to be a full-blooded Indian, then they’re bigger idiots than I imagined.

If Warren thought she was any kind of Indian is another example of idiocy.

I've asked this before: Why did Warren think this bloodline was newsworthy? Was it political? Did it help her career(s)? What?

Trump issued a challenge, Warren took him up on it. You can add words (to the challenge), subtract words or make up whatever narrative you want about the challenge, but it won't change what was said, "show you're an Indian".

If Warren wanted or need to revise the challenge she had ample time to do so, she didn't. Less than one percent do not indigenous American make, nor does it qualify for minority status, Warren failed and owned herself in the process.

Yes they did. What about it?

Then she lied or, as a Law Professor is so stupid as to believe 'because mama said so' is reason enough to claim minority status.

She didn’t. Trump made it so.

Lied according to what criterion? The criterion she said at the outset was “mama said so”. You still have not given me an exact number for which you think it is safe for people to say they have some kind of ethnic or racial heritage.

She never meant for this to be such a big deal. Trump made it a big deal and challenged her on it. So she proved him wrong, scientifically. What more do you want?

She claimed minority status, funny how you continue to ignore that truth. So which is it did she lie or is she not so bright as as Law Professor ??

You continue to lie about the Trump challenge. Shame

I've avoided nothing, Trump's challenge said "show you're an Indian", EW did not.

:lamo
This response was a total waste of your time.

We already know that you have no problem lying in defense of your Dear Leader and his agenda.

Because "MAYBE" being 1/1024 PERUVIAN, backs up Fauxahontas' claim that her "GREAT GRANDMOTHER was CHEROKEE, and HAD TO ELOPE BECAUSE OF IT".

You should contact the Cherokee Tribe and tell them how WRONG THEY ARE, DENOUNCING HER BULL****, AS WELL...

Der…..:lamo :sinking:

Harvard claimed minority status for her. At least be accurate. They also stated that her Indian heritage had no bearing on her employment. Her genetic testing was consistent with her family lore too. It showed an Indian ancestor 6 to 10 generations ago. She called Trumps bluff and as expected he is a deadbeat. We don't need any tests to know being a deadbest is in Trump's genes. ;)

As one might expect, the vast majority of Warren’s DNA indicated European ancestors. But five genetic segments were identified, with 99 percent confidence, as being associated with Native American ancestry. The largest segment identified was on Chromosome 10.

While the vast majority of the individual’s ancestry is European, the results strongly support the existence of an unadmixed Native American ancestor in the individual’s pedigree, likely in the range of 6-10 generations ago,” the report said.

BULL****. She was chosen from a pool of MINORITY JOB APPLICANTS ,and described as a "woman of color" when hired, which is BULL****, and her claim was NOT " I might have 1/1024 of Peruvian ancestry" it WAS " My great grandmother was a Cherokee and had to elope over it"...which is ALSO BULL****.

The only "bluff" she called WAS HER OWN.

STOP TRYING TO CHANGE HER LIES....
