Elizabeth Warren releases DNA testing: she has Native American background

Its amazing the creative imagination you folks have when shoved hard up against the brick wall of reality.

Don't underestimate it. They have denied the unanimous consensus of every single scientific organization on the entire planet on global warming, and the unanimous consensus of every single intelligence agency in the country, that they themselves have appointed, on Russian meddling.

But start talking to them about Obama's secret Kenyan birth certificate, and they will be all over it.

I really can't tell if they really are so passionate that they subconsciously blind themselves to the reality, or if they are THAT deceitful. Hard to tell. If it's the latter, do they take the rest of us to be such fools that we would fall for such poor attempts at deceit and gaslighting?

He's already denied he made any such promise. Even though it's on tape, along with the usual racist and sexist bullshirt.

President Trump WON the bet. To be Indian (Native American) under federal law isn't "likely a 6th to 10th had some Native American ancestry" - thus pushing it still further back.

By law - and she's a lawyer so knows it - Warren proved she is NOT an "Indian." She proved she is "White European."

When did she ever say she was Indian?

i'm still not sure about her as a 2020 candidate, but this was the fun story of the day. after right wing media and our infantile president insulted her and called her a liar for years, now some people have egg on their faces and are squirming towards "so what" on all fours. i'd like to dedicate this "ha ha" to all of them.

Doesn't this test prove she is a liar? She claimed that her parents had to elope over racism due to her mother being a native american.

Not quite. She claimed that her father's side of the family wouldn't let him marry his mom because they had heard that there was some Indian blood there. A little different.

I am thoroughly convinced that it is a willful form of delusional mental illness that the right wing inhabit.... and they are very very happy in that personal Twilight Zone of mental detachment from reality.

Views, yes...so called facts, debunked.
Next?

Feel free to list the facts I put forth you find faulting and counter them, Its sort of a debate forum you do get that? Or is the xxx-large bolded text and Gifs all you have? So far you’re not showing much, but I’m not expecting much.

I fully expect Trump to release his own DNA test to show he has more NA in him than Pocahontas. #Winning!

Why would she share the results of this test, it makes her look ridiculous? She's faked her Indian ancestory to fit in, get perks, whatever...

You may say "well look at Trump", but people have accepted Trump for what he is, a crass, arrogant, NYC builder and an outsider with a bull in the china shop tact and desire to do exactly what he says he's going to do for the most part. Warren is a typical bull ****ting politician which is why this will stick and may just knock her out of the 2020 race.

It doesn't take an imagination to read what was in the article.

Since thr person you were quoting was quoting my post, please explain what I got wrong.

Thanks

Because it is the hurdle she needed to jump and get out of the way so she can run for POTUS. She is a glutton for punishment, me thinks.

By all means, what was in the article which contradicts what she related in the past about what her family told her?

How would that make a difference? Who cares how much NA Trump has in him?

Yeah sure. You said "Not really, since Native American DNA wasn't used as a comparison. It's more probable she is a tiny bit Mexican than Native American, but at that small of a percentage it really doesn't matter."

Why doesn't it matter? You actually thought she had claimed to be an American Indian? Can you quote for us exactly when she said that?

Point missed...

Nope. You're just trying to make this about something it wasn't. Now that Trump has been proven wrong yet again, you actually want her to prove that she is an American Indian! As if she was trying to claim she was an American Indian! :lamo

Man, I tell you, the imagination of you folks at spin is staggering!

M'k. Hope you had fun with it.

I have fun with everything! Trump is President, and NOT Hitlery. We should all be dancing for joy and grateful that God has had mercy on us all for not allowing that nasty hag to be our ruler. Enjoy that notion!!!

Okay, so now the goalposts are being moved and Warren's defenders are now going with she never claimed to be part Native American. Thanks for clearing that up.

No, she claimed to be part native American. And she is now vindicated. I don't recall where she made any claims to how much. She just said she remembers her parents telling her that she has a native American heritage. That's all. If she said otherwise, please provide links.

I am not sure where the confusion is coming from. It's not that hard. Really. Sheesh.

You think the University would have waited to tout her as a faculty Native American. Harvard Law School touted her as a native american when Warren was a professor at Cambridge.

Odd.

So in the end, again, you have no actual proof she advanced her career because of her heritage.

Is Guy Benson correct? He asks why Warren self-identified as white in the '70's and early '80s and then changed that self-identification in 1986 (through 1995) when she began to be listed in that law school directory/"tipsheet."

Benson says:

She chose to list herself as a minority in this influential professional publication ("often consulted by hiring deans") in 1986. She was offered a teaching position Penn, an Ivy League institution, in early 1987. Imagine that. She then continued to 'check the box' through 1995, which happened to be the year that she received a tenured position at Harvard Law School. Warren and her defenders insist that this timing is coincidental and that her formalized self-description as a racial minority played no role in her jump into the Ivies -- even though both Penn and Harvard were under immense pressure to enhance faculty diversity at the time, and each subsequently touted her in literature as a minority. She has claimed she didn't even know they were celebrating her as a minority, but her story has evolved. That strains credulity. It becomes even more dubious when you consider her ludicrous explanation for why she suddenly dropped the "minority" posture after reaching the pinnacle of her career path at Harvard.... https://townhall.com/tipsheet/guybe...s-embarrassing-native-american-proof-n2528599

That reason? From the Boston Herald:

“I listed myself in the directory in the hopes that it might mean that I would be invited to a luncheon, a group something that might happen with people who are like I am. Nothing like that ever happened, that was clearly not the use for it and so I stopped checking it off,” said Warren. Warren: I used minority listing to share heritage | Boston Herald

Pretty facile explanation, wouldn't you agree?

Then I can only conclude that you either didn't read what the DNA expert wrote, or you don't understand it. Either way, it doesn't matter because you've dug in your heels and I doubt any rational statement will sway you.
