Intelligent articulate women are skeery to some people...that is why they go after the Pochantas stuff. Otherwise, they would simply go after her policies and her history as a Senator.

Don't forget: who was actually a muslim that palled around with terrorists, who hated American and wanted to destroy it and/or turn it into a third world country by transferring wealth away with a global warming hoax, yadda yadda.

It really is breath-taking the way certain people on the right will engage in a "who, us?" routine after 8 years of unprecedented vileness was thrown at Obama.
 
The Native American thing is going to be a character issue for her. Of course, if she wins the general she will be running against Trump, who has orders of magnitude more character issues.
 
I really do not see her going anywhere beyond some white female Ann Arbor, Michigan type support which might keep her around for a couple of primaries but nothing really with any lasting power.

No it did not 'backfire'. She did not lose any of her supporters and those who hated her before just kept on hating. It was a predictable outcome over such a silly spat. I suppose Obama's birth certificate 'backfired' on him as well? Trump likes calling people racially motivated nicknames.

It's too early to tell how she'll fare against a potential democratical pool but at least there is now a hypothetical rival for Trump to poll against. Interesting times.

Very true - one of the reasons I don't really dig her. She's kind of a Hillary 2.0 which will make the polling I mentioned above even more revealing in many ways: now, after two years of Trump, how would he fare against a Hillary-type opponent?
 
This isn't anything new. Warren is just one of many Democrats that are considering running. Last time I checked there were at least 30 who showed interest. Several have already made a trip to Iowa and are scouting out locations for their campaigns. There was an article last week that Biden was miffed at Obama because he has been courting younger candidates like Beta Man. They are saying there will be so many running that they are actually considering starting their debates early in 2019. At first they will start out as a bash Trump fest 24-7 early on and as it gets closer to the primary they will turn on each other.

They will have to do more than just be anti-Trump. They are going to have to sell their agenda, one that includes Medicare for all, open borders, climate change, higher taxation, all things that are not real popular with the majority especially after one peels away the layers but they are going to have to sell it. Romney was the anti-Obama candidate and Kerry was the anti-Bush candidate and they were both losers.
 
She's up against a really feeble group vying to be the Democrat nominee so you never know. Just imagine as the Democrats jet
toward left wing extremism how un american their nominee will be ten years from now.

Amazing how that never happened with Obama in charge for 8 years especially the first two years with a Democratic Congress that was in power for the previous two years so he had a running start
