Resign?!

Only one President in U.S. history has ever resigned and that was only after his misconduct had become so obvious that he had lost the support of even his GOP supporters. Rather than face the impeachment that would have tossed him from Office and opened him to criminal charges, he resigned. Then Ford pardoned him.

Trump escaped his obvious treachery over Ukraine because today's GOP has made it clear that it works at his pleasure, not for the people. He has no reason to resign over anything because he really has nothing to fear outside of election day, which is why he routinely holds re-election pep rallies. And these rallies are all about pushing the extremist politics that carried him to the White House (as well as nursing an ego that his behavior constantly bruises). But he has made it clear from the beginning that he rests his presidency on only the health of the economy. Since he has convinced his constituency that he "fixed" Obama's economy, despite having nothing to fix and showing no difference, he now fears that his constituency and the average American will look to him for blame for its current virus-instigated mess. At the same time, his ego will not allow him to cast off the delusional idea that he embodies good economy and the "art of the deal." Forget his history of bankruptcies and forget that the man's talent for three years has been to only wreck established deals and make senseless and inconsequential ones.

- Iran deal replaced with no deal? Sorry Israel.
- Billion-dollar TPP deal replaced with million-dollar Japanese deal? Sorry lost American revenue.
- Public trade war game that resulted in a deal that simply resets to the beginning? Sorry impractical dreamers.
- Ongoing North Korean missile program? Sorry special bond.

Thus, his only real fear is that people will continue to follow in the false economic and false deal-making theme that he set himself up for, while hoping that people will continue to just ignore his clear presidential history. He knows he is not held accountable for anything else. So, why resign over something like COVID-19, of which his only real bumbling was when he was earlier playing "political" complacency games?

(* I place political in quotes because there was nothing political about it. It was simply more of his dip****tery that he knows pleases his cult.)

I bet you feel better getting that post out.
So you're not going to vote for Trump I take it?

Your Trump hatred has no bounds. Even during a national emergency.

I don't hate him, so much as I feel that he is totally incompetent and a danger to the country.

Sort of like the America Firsters in 1940 who defended the Nazis because they were against Communism.

Okay, we're done here.

Literally everything you said is WRONG.

Dow Jones today is 21,341 and climbing. (Maybe your ticker is broke?)

COVID-19 is not Trumps fault. . . his expert handling of this crisis will be the reason he gets re-elected. That and the fact that his opponent is senile and unqualified to be POTUS.

The Dow is where it was during the summer of Trump's first year of office. If Obama had left office with the Dow a mere 1200 points above when he entered office, something tells me you would not be so kind.

And yes, nothing is ever Trump's fault. Which begs the question: couldn't he not be at fault as a citizen?

Trump is certainly malfeasant dragging all his supporters with him in support of malfeasance. The Trump inability to lead ha been clear from the start. That you resent it is meaningless.

One can disagree with the President without his supporters going through the hand clutching the breast histrionics.

He needs to resign.

It's great this is still a free country and no one has yet to invoke the Sedition Act of 1918 during the war and during the deadly flu..
Otherwise, you might lock your door and turn out the lights.

Why should he resign?
I took issue with the nonsense you authored; "He was voted into office to be “turned into a missile and aimed at Washington.”

Seems to me the missiles launched were aimed at him by the butt hurt sore losers from the Democratic Party from the day he was elected into office.

Collusion with Putin missiles ring a bell?
Popular vote missiles?
Stormy missiles?
Obstruction missiles?
Kavanaugh missiles?
Ukraine missiles?
Impeachment missiles?
Coronavirus missiles?

Again, you're making my point for me.

My analogy is pointing out how ridiculous it is to blame the president for not expertly handling and unprecedented event.

I think he is handling as best it can be handled. It is up to the people to stop this pandemic. It is even working better now that the left has abandoned their coup and joined in. It is amazing what can get done when our leaders work towards the solution not hate and party first.

Any reason for Trump to resign is okay with me.

But as far as his handling of the Covid-19 outbreak, just add it to his long list of ****-up's.

The main reason I think he should resign is because he is bat-**** crazy and mentally unstable. (Not to mention a downright embarrassment.)

I bet you feel better getting that post out.
So you're not going to vote for Trump I take it?

Not as long as there is a dead goat somewhere that hasn't dodged the draft, denigrated the military, and hasn't committed treason.

In liberals' eye they are required to start impeachment inquiries. Didn't you know that? It's OBVIOUS to the rest of the world.

It is a target-rich environment.

Actually there was evidence that China saw it coming back in Oct/Nov of last year and squished any reporting of the virus by jailing those who dared to speak out and sound the alarm.

I'm concerned with what America did.

So, you're not going to even comment on his specific indifference to a 'situation event' that looks so similar to what we are going through? Read, consider, I think you may adjust your view.

And, of course, you wanted Trump convicted by the Senate because you honestly believed that what he did warranted his removal from office. How did that work out?
Your TDS is showing. Still missing Hillary, are you?

One has zero to do with the other. Check out a Civics text.

Why do you think calling the Chinese virus is offensive? What do you call it..the Trump virus? Progressives spent to much time watching CNN talking heads calling everything racist for a political gain?

I call it Covid-19, why isn't the President calling it the Chinese virus anymore? It's too racist even for him.

where was it a month ago? How many people just filed unemployment in the past 2 weeks?

It is a target-rich environment.

No, it is a stupid environment, with all the liberals there. But you folks just keep on, the American voter is already tired of your shenanigans.

Anyone who states Trump has handled this crisis expertly does not know the meaning of the word "unprecedented".
How do you judge expert handling if you don't have a metric with which to measure it?
It's not called the 'novel coronavirus' for nothing.

Pandemic preparation is a part of the job description of the President. There should have been a response protocol, which is obviously absent. The actual epidemic may be "unprecedented", but the idea of a pandemic being a threat to the health and welfare of Americans was not unexpected. Sorry, he gets no pass.

You think that's why over 60 million people voted for him?
You want him to leave the White House because you think he's crazy.
Why don't you just VOTE HIM OUT!!?
That's the American way.

So he was a little slow on the uptake. So he should just tell everybody he's sorry and pack his bags now in the middle of this crisis? Is that the answer you are looking for?

Rather than beat a dead horse to no avail, I would rather focus on the actions the government has taken:
You want to play coulda/woulda/shoulda you go right ahead.
How about voting him out of office instead?

The administration raised travel warnings to their highest level for other hot spot locations, like Japan and South Korea.
The president has expanded airport screenings to identify travelers showing symptoms and instituted mandatory quarantines.
The State Department issued a global level 4 travel advisory, urging Americans to avoid all international travel due to the coronavirus outbreak worldwide.

EXPANDING TESTING ACCESSIBILITY

The FDA issued emergency approval for new commercial coronavirus tests to significantly expand testing across the country.
The president secured legislation that will ensure Americans are able to be tested for free.

Admiral Brett Giroir – the Assistant Secretary for Health and head of the Public Health Service – has been appointed to coordinate coronavirus testing efforts.
The FDA is empowering states to authorize tests developed and used by laboratories in their states.
The Department of Defense has set up 15 coronavirus testing sites worldwide.

How is Trump really bad for this country...because he has a (R) behind his name? Because he has gotten things done that democrats only dream of?

Look what happened to America since 2016. It is not about Republicans or Do nothing democrats.
