Does OBJ deserve to be the highest paid player in the league?

Let's see, Beckham plays for the Giants, and I'm guessing you're a Cowboys fan? I'm shocked you'd say something negative about an opposing team's player!

0-5 speaks for itself, care to make a case that OBJ should be the highest paid player?

Von Miller is out of his mind.

NO! But The Bears have a Benched QB making 18.5 Million ... guaranteed ... but he’s not as Colerful as OBJ ;)

Nope, just pointing out the obvious. So the 0-5 record is all Beckham's fault? I haven't watched much of the Giants - has Beckham dropped a number of passes that would have turned these games around for the G's?

The a player worthy of being the highest paid player in the league should be able to squeeze out at least one win for the team, dont you think?

Beckham hasnt been awful but hes been below superstar level of play but my point is that WRs no matter how good can not effect the game the way a QB does, which is why the best QB will always be paid more than the best WR

BTW I would have made the same thread had Von Miller said the same thing about Dez Bryant

Then there is that broken leg thingy!?

Von Miller is a LB for the Broncos. ESPN must be quoting him to stir up controversy. It's not like Miller is an agent or GM.

Plus Beckham just broke his leg didn't he? Isn't he out for the season?

It's not ESPN's fault Von Miller said something so outstandingly stupid during the routine pregame press interviews.

Aren't you supposed to be boycotting the NFL?

In the 4 years Beckham has been on the Giants they are under .500 and made the playoffs ONCE, and in that ONE playoff game he dropped a bunch of passes and the Giants lost.

So I'm going to say no, he doesn't deserve to be the highest paid player in the NFL, or, IMO, in the top 20.

And I'm not even taking into consideration a couple weeks ago when he was asked about him taking too many penalties for celebrations in the endzone he said he didn't care if the Giants had to kick off from their own 5 yard line. That's got to go over well with some of his teammates.

Obvious Cowboys fan here. OBJ is a hell of a receiver and he's worth whatever the Giants or any team is willing to pay him. I've never begrudged the money that any professional athlete (or entertainer for that matter) makes. That money comes from a completely voluntary relationship between them and their fans.
