What are his magic powers?

“Magic Negro” is a term for a black character with limited history or development who is there to solve problems of white characters.

This was the title of an LA times column that was parodied to make the song.

So no actual magical powers?

Do you believe Rush Limbaugh created the divisiveness?

Back in the 80's, Rush was an unemployed talk show host. His ratings were bad and he got fired. Things were so bad he couldn't even make his mortgage payment. Having a lot of time on his hands, he watched a lot of World Wide Wrestling which was having a huge increase in popularity at the time.

He puzzled out why wrestling was so popular. You had good guys and villains, you had background stories and drama.

He came to an epiphany. He would combine a talk radio political show with World Wide Wrestling. He'd make some politicians heroes and others villains. The political struggle would make excellent drama.

And the Rush Limbaugh Show was born.

Rush spewed hatred about the democrats. He openly mocked them on the radio. Meanwhile, he elevated republicans, many of them flawed.

His show became about the struggle. A struggle which didn't exist until that time.

The Tea Party came out of this and Rush was their biggest proponent.

He savagely attacked democratic presidents like Clinton and Obama. Obama was especially hated by the Rush fans because of racism.

Do you think Limbaugh contributed the the hatred and divisiveness that fills American politics today?
Limbaugh encouraged the Right to stand up and speak out. Prior to him and his influence most of the right followed the "go along to get along' philosophy and looked at the left-wingers theatrics and misbehaviors in silence. Limbaugh changed that. So, the divisiveness was always there, Limbaugh just inspired standing up to the bullies of the left.

lol you couldn’t be more wrong if you tried!

First off, Rush didn’t call Obama a “magic negro” that song was mocking an LA times Column which could him that, and Al Sharpton who opposed Obama, and Biden (articulate and clean) you apparently just buy whatever you’re sold without listening to the source material and looking it up.

Feminazi applied exclusively to pro-abortion extremists, you clearly never listened to the show

Rush did call him Halfrican American. Legalized abortion is the law of the land. How does that make women who agree with that Nazi’s? You have stars in your eyes. I suppose you would defend Rush’s attack on Sandra Fluke as well. He has a defensible point of view, as does Trump. But they express it in vile, cruel and bigoted ways.

I give Rush credit. It was great that he appeared on the Murphy Brown show to poke a bit of fun at himself and her. His voice and tone are superb for the medium. But in general he is a bully, afraid to come out of his radio studio and debate, where a high school student could take him apart. Why does he hate modern America?

I think Rush's major accomplishment is making people think critically about who the media is and what their agendas are instead of blindly assuming they're giving us the whole truth with no bias. (Yes, that includes ALL media - right and left).

One of the best things he puts out on his radio show are the montages of every single news network somehow having the exact same phrases in their teleprompter about the same story. The last one I heard was during the impeachment trial where reporters from several news networks used the phrase "copious notes" when talking about what the Republicans were doing. This happens all of the time. Why do they all say exactly the same words when talking about the same topic? If I recall correctly, the word "gravitas" was also one of those words they all used to describe Obama. I know there are more, but I don't listen very often. Maybe someone else can chime in.
