I think having former Director Wray come to Capitol Hill and testify on the matter forthrightly and under oath - now that there is no possibility of prejudicing an ongoing investigation - will shed a lot of light on what the FBI had managed to find up to the point where he left office.

Senator Kennedy questioned him on the matter last June (starting at the 2:20 mark):



You can tell the Director was at pains to keep from revealing information which would have compromised any investigation which might have been ongoing.... but since that is no longer a danger - since there is no such investigation - I think his testimony going forward will shed a lot more light on the matter.
 
The MAGAS here seem very quiet on this issue, now that Trump has told them to move on.

Its a beast Trump will find difficult to put back in the cage. He claimed the deep state was hiding the client list, now he is saying nothing to see here. Its not a shocker his base is confused after being spoon fed the Epstein CT for years.

Metadata embedded in the video and analyzed by WIRED and independent video forensics experts shows that rather than being a direct export from the prison’s surveillance system, the footage was modified, likely using the professional editing tool Adobe Premiere Pro. The file appears to have been assembled from at least two source clips, saved multiple times, exported, and then uploaded to the DOJ’s website, where it was presented as “raw” footage.

I don't doubt a lot of them would. But the fully vested MAGAs, the ones who avidly followed QAnon? This sudden turn by Dear Leader is a threat on an existential level - if they are now told there is no list, to stop pursuing the prosecution of these shadowy pedo rings, if there is the slightest possibility the people leading their cause, from Taco on down might be implicated in the evil they have sworn to destroy, then what have they been doing with their lives these last several years?

On Chris Cuomo NewsNation show he had Epstein's lawyer, Alan Dershowitz, a democrat, revealing what he knew about any list....he said 'no' list. But there was redacted documents that had names in them and he saw the documents before being redacted. He also said there was not current politician on the documents. He all said Merrick Garland had the same information but for some reason he didn't reveal.
Personally I think the reason this information wasn't revealed because it would have destroyed a lot of lives. Remember Epstein was a democrat and had mostly democrat friends and that may have been the reason Garland held the documents close to his vest. Another thing a lot books and such have been published with a lot of the names....so nothing new to see here.
One last thing Dershowitz said there were videos but none he was unaware of bedroom scenes.

I am sure there are a lot of names on that list. Republicans, Democrats, business leaders, etc. So it is not surprising the powers that be don't want it released but didn't Trump in one of his many campaign promises say that he would release all info on Epstein? I suspect his handlers reminded him that not only is his name on that list but many other prominent politicians and business leaders.
 
Republicans voted again to block legislation that would have released the Epstein files.

I'm gonna say 1 and 2 are likely. Although with the caveat that 2 may contain nothing new, and Trump is just embarrassed at being reminded he used to pal around with Epstein.
