Different Levels of Hell?

For the sake of argument, let’s say there is a Heaven and a Hell. Do you think there are different levels of Hell? How evil was the person/soul that ends up here? Just an unbeliever or a mass murderer; do they suffer the same fate?

Example 1)

” Religion convinced the world that there's an invisible man in the sky who watches everything you do. And there's 10 things he doesn't want you to do or else you'll go to a burning place with a lake of fire until the end of eternity. But he loves you! ...And he needs money! He's all powerful, but he can't handle money.” -George Carlin

Example 2)

Do these two share the same fate?

Of course not. If there's a hell it's right here on earth as we kill each other over things like religion.

The pope spoke of a very proud angel who was envious of God, reports Catholic News Service.

"He wanted God's place," said Francis. "And God wanted to forgive him, but he said, 'I don't need your forgiveness. I am good enough!'"

"This is hell," explained the pope. "It is telling God, 'You take care of yourself because I'll take care of myself.' They don't send you to hell, you go there because you choose to be there. Hell is wanting to be distant from God because I do not want God's love. This is hell."

Most contemporary theologians would agree with the pope. Hell is not about fire and brimstone; it is about our freedom to say no to God, our freedom to reject love and choose loneliness. If you believe in freedom, you have to believe in hell.

Hell isn't what you think it is.

What happens to those who dont believe in the Pope and christianity. Jews, muslims, Hindus etc. What happens to people who don't believe in hell at all?

For the record in catholic school decades ago hell is the absence of god for eternity. That's what I was taught, I didn't think it up on my own.

I really wish the more vocal Christians actually followed this. Sadly too many will claim the bolded not true if it isn't the way they believe.

What do you mean? Are you saying they ought to be perfect?

It's a common misconception that true Christians should be without sins.
Everyone battles with sins - perhaps Christians more than others, IF the devil makes it his mission to lead the believers astray.

Imho, it's equally important for Christians to watch out for each other - warning about false teachings.

No. I'm saying that there are way to many Christians, and they tend to be the most vocal and visible, that will say, "You are not doing what I believe is right, therefore you have not truly accepted Jesus and are not a Christian."

I haven't seen any Christians in forums that had said that to another.

Of course I'm not referring to a few who are obviously "deranged" zealots spouting off non-sensical comments.
I've seen one or two over the years. There's one who claims to be a Gnostic Christian in another forum who tends to say irrational things.

Nope, there's only one level...when your're dead, you're dead...period...non-existent...

This is what makes sense....rationally. If you are dead with what senses can you experience torments ? The 5 senses are gone...the Spirit is of God...you cannot have that. And your ‘torments’ cannot be shared with others to serve as a warning to them because you have no way of communicating your experiences. Hell, in some form, if it exists, must be experienced while still alive to relate to others and to afford the desire to escape it....logically thru repentance, etc.

Not according to Islam. The Qur'an is very clear in saying that everybody will be resurrected and send to either heaven or hell.
