Dems' Number One Accomplishment this year

Too bad liberals weren't so concerned when Harry Reid was sitting on all those bills.

It's BS ..........and neither party has the high ground here.

Hey this is 2019.

What is the Dems' biggest accomplishment this year?

I can think of only one: getting impeachment voted on

Wow.. that really helps We the People who pay these knuckleheads' salaraies, doesn't it?

Did the Dem House give us better healthcare?

No

Did the Dem House solve the homeless problem?

I don't recall any legislation to address THAT problem,

do you?

Well, they were very successful with anti assault weapons propaganda

Two-thirds of Americans support assault weapons ban: Fox News poll | TheHill

That isn't his job. McConnell's job is to safe-guard Americans from the anti-American fascist Democrats in the House who seek to violate the rights of Americans. Like in their H.R. 1585 - Women Against Violence Reauthorization Act the House passed last April. There are numerous titles in that bill alone that repeatedly violate the First, Second, Fourth, and Tenth Amendments. Your illegal legislation is DOA in the Senate.

If you are correct in your assessment (zero chance of that, but whatever), I would think the proud GOP Senators would welcome the chance to vote the illegal legislation down.

Apparently not.

oh, it is. that's why Trump will be impeached in the House.

he needs to thank his lucky stars that Mitch and the boys will cover for him in the Senate. if the Senate was 50/50 or Dems held it slightly he'd be toast.

If you are correct in your assessment (zero chance of that, but whatever), I would think the proud GOP Senators would welcome the chance to vote the illegal legislation down.

Why waste time with a vote when McConnell can simply kill the illegal legislation by never bringing it up for a vote, exactly like he is doing now?

They've put their stamp on history by impeaching a political opponent coming up on an election year. If they couldn't defeat him at the ballot box what else did they have? I don't think future history books are going to very kind to Pelosi and Schiff.

The people running the clown show aren't the sharpest tacks in the drawer. They miscalculated. They imagined they were back in the Nixon era where some deep throat was gonna come out and prove Trump did something bad. Vidman, the pompous ass, was the one who orchestrated this. He thought he was a co-president but all he was is a wannabe president. Schiff ran with this just like he was duped by a phone call from two radio shock jocks pretending they were Russian. He will go down as a sorry figure in history.

I was hoping for a trial but it appears the Senate doesn't want one. I think it would be good to disrupt those senators who have to campaign and if the acquittal cam in Jube it would be fresh on the minds of the people. But, no trial. This "inquiry" will be tossed where it belongs. In the round file bin. Netter luck next time, Charlie.

Oversight is OK........unless you have been saying you were gonna impeach him from day one. This inquiry makes the Dems look small, petulant, mean, angry, vengeful.

Oversight doesn't mean you get to abuse your power.

I was hoping for a trial in the senate too. Can you imagine Ted Cruz cross examining Hunter and Joe Biden, McCabe, Rosenstein, Schiff, Brennan, Comey and Mueller? I bet Mueller wouldn't even remember he was a part of the impeachment coup.

Someone doesn't understand the Democrats passing good bills the Republicans blocked in the Senate. Just like when they passed over 400 good bills in 2007-2008. Some examples:

H.R. 1: For the People Act
H.R. 5: The Equality Act
H.R. 6: The American Dream and Promise Act
H.R. 7: The Paycheck Fairness Act
H.R. 8: The Bipartisan Background Checks Act
H.R. 9: The Climate Action Now Act
H.R. 987: The Strengthening Health Care and Lowering Prescription Drug Costs Act
H.R. 1585: The Violence Against Women Reauthorization Act
H.R. 1644: The Save the Internet Act

The House-passed bills that have ended up in the Senate 'graveyard' | TheHill

We could add a lot more, like restoring the Voting Rights Act.

Do you Republicans really just not know anything outside your propaganda bubble?

Edit: I see some made a similar point already, with predictably the disingenuous paradoxical cherry picking one of the list he thought he could say something bad about while ignoring the rest, not responding to them. He really shows himself not worth interacting with in every post.

What does your retort have to do with healthcare or any of the bills mentioned?

Para loses like he tends to... by running away from whatever is being discussed.

Nope. No they don't. They deal with life through denial or absolute shock when faced with actual reality.

Wow, I didn't know you could jam that much disingenuous smugness in a post. Is that what FOX told ya?

The Democratic congress has stymied him every step of the way. He eliminated much of Obama's plan. I am happy now with the way it is. Why aren't you?

He might as well save time since he seems to have a following that will applaud anything he does, no matter how unethical. He can use the time to further his wife's financial interests.

No I don't. I also don't see such legislation from the Repugs either so what's your point? Even when he had both Houses Trump couldn't get anything substantial passed beyond his tax cut and more budget busting raises in the debt and the deficit.
