I understand that peer reviewed articles published in numerous journals tell us that for many Trump supporters, Trump's support for White Supremacists is why they voted for Trump:

They did...without knowing about it. Once they did, they terminated the byline and removed the material. You are smearing them for knowing them and not knowing their background. Once they did, they acted appropriately.

If this was a one off, sure, but this is happening repeatedly, so they have to accept responsibility.

This is no different than when Trump publicly supported the KKK and Neo Nazis saying some are "very fine people", and then when called out, in this case after days of terrific pressure from all sides, recanted.

Acting appropriately is not repeatedly publishing White Supremacist's material. Quit making excuses, these are grownups, they need to accept responsibility for the White Supremacist writers they hire over and over again.
