Democrats have had since 1964 (56 years) to solve blacks problems. Why believe them now?

1 in 1,250 Black Americans has died (or 80.4 deaths per 100,000)

1 in 1,500 Indigenous Americans has died (or 66.8 deaths per 100,000)

1 in 1,700 Pacific Islander Americans has died (or 58.7 deaths per 100,000)

1 in 2,200 Latino Americans has died (or 45.8 deaths per 100,000)

1 in 2,800 White Americans has died (or 35.9 deaths per 100,000)

1 in 3,000 Asian Americans has died (or 33.1 deaths per 100,000)

In the first place, you are attempting to poorly defend the statement made by none other than you that far more blacks die than whites die.

All you did was show us unsourced statistics of 1 per ? depending on group.

So source us your defense that far more blacks die than whites have died.
 
You can't change racism in the US, until the following happens.

1) Admitting on all sides of the political sphere (minus the Neo Nazi and KKK of course), that the US has a problem.

3) Address head on any and all racial motivated crap at all times and yes this includes the racism from minorities on other minorities or whites.

2) The generation who opposed the civil rights act and their children have to die off.

We still got decades for nr 2 to happen and you might need the grand kids to die off too before seeing progress.

Getting rid of racism does not happen overnight.

Just look at equality between the sexes...still not there in law and in many religious communities it is non existence and that is despite women having the vote for 100 years.

Anecdotes don't beat numbers. Sorry....just won't fly. How many white judges are there vs black judges? How many white business executives vs black business executives? I will cheerily accept that Black Americans have made "some" progress against enormous resistance and a history of being subjugated (AND THAT IS PUTTING IT KINDLY). Why should Black Americans and other minorities have to deal with ANY resistance, never mind enormous resistance. While I accept the gains Black Americans have made, you won't accept that we are nowhere near having resolved the results of our original sin in this country and that they still face enormous resistance that they should not have to make.

Unfortunately for your argument, Trump is the visible and visceral embodiment of the resistance that Black Americans face. I can't help that. Drop your complaint off at the WH or at Trump's golden Manhattan Outhouse after January 20th.

They do per capita. Let me guess, you don't understand the term "per capita" either just as Donnie Boy doesn't.

I should point out that you have not provided a single stat, a single datapoint to support your position. You have presented the opinions of some Black Americans and your buddies have provided anecdotes. That All YA" GOT.

First, to "get real with the issue," it's radically misleading to say the Civil Rights law (I assume you're not referring to the 1965 Voting Rights Act that Republican-appointed Justices gutted in 2013) was only passed due to Republicans' efforts. What actually happened was liberals and moderates in both parties (yes, there was a time when there were liberals and moderates in the Republican Party) won over the opposition of conservatives in both parties.

Then Nixon came along and used white resentment against Civil Rights to separate racists into the GOP column and non-racists into the Democratic column. It's called the GOP's Southern Strategy. Click on the link. I encourage you to familiarize yourself with this bit of American political history. Then maybe you wouldn't write such ignorant, uninformed trash. Oh, never mind.

If you expect blacks to elect Trump this time, you're smoking some really good weed out there in Idaho. First they have to be able to vote at all, despite all the best efforts of Republicans to obstruct minority voting. Then they'd have to believe that a man who spent the last four years egging on Republicans to take health care away from over 20 million people while passing a massive tax cut for the already rich and encouraging white resentment with every breath gives two sh*t's about them. He obviously cares far more about confederate statues than black people.

He doesn't care about blacks.

They won't vote for him.

So you now want to retract your own claim that more blacks and mexicans died than whites?

When you said more of them died, you did not stipulate per capita.

Sure, I posted videos of some very important blacks who were at the white house. I have walked all around that white house yet never got invited to meet the president.

I'm a liberal. I'm not a conservative. This is one of the reasons why.

Trump is not targeting any minority. I am told ballots would be mass mailed to all registered voters. If states put restrictions on that I do not know of those.

I was speaking of the dog fight with democrats over the 1964 civil rights act , that law.

i do not want to listen to you lecture in some windy lecture about liberal vs conservative. Racism was not conservative. It was actually more liberal.

To show my meaning examine Washington, Jefferson and others who owned slaves yet never discussed racism.

Abe the republican was racist to his core. Was he a conservative too?

Ohhhh....big whoops....ya' got me. The only numbers that matter are per capita...nobody but nobody but Donnie boy talks about absolute numbers....his desperate effort to make himself look good. Sorry I lost myself in the possibility that there could be the mad hope of an intelligent discussion at DP. We are 16th in the world in COVID testing Per Capita just to nip that ridiculous Trumpian claim in the bud before somebody makes it in this thread.

The honorable thing you should have done is admit your own error and not pass the buck to a man not here.

I saw charts this past week on this forum that stipulate America has only one other country with a better record than ours as to deaths.

Our fine hospitals have been successful at saving many lives that were the ill living in other countries would have died and not survived.

Video proof exists that Trump busts his ass helping blacks. Would you prefer he stop?
