Democrats Have Always Called Republicans "Racists" and Other Vile Names

Why are you quoting me again and talking about Liberals?

You don't love Trump! You dirty commie ANTIFA-loving gun-banning baby-killing Jesus-hating liberal!

Too bad I'm not a liberal.

Then why all the subterfuge. I just asked if you thought it was racist to ask Obama for his birth certificate. I didn't realize my question posed some underlying threat you perceived as a problem.

I never used the word racist. I wonder how many times I'm going to say that before it sinks into the noggin?

When did I ever say you did? What is this like the 3rd time covering the same ground? And you're not a Liberal?

Yes, Trump lies. The smart kids already knew that.

Which has nothing to do with anything but you're not a Liberal.

Ok

Why would you have any doubt at all that Barack Obama was a US citizen?

Probably because, in an editing mistake, Obama's publisher for his auto-biographer stated that he was born in Kenya.
And apparently one of his half-brothers was quoted as saying he was born in Kenya.

No, I'm not a liberal. You're confusing me with the Trump family.

His mother was a United States citizen. Born and raised in this country. So I'll ask again why you would have any doubt that her son was a US citizen.

I never said his mother was not a US citizen. I will tell you again it is because his father is not a US citizen that I questioned citizenship. Now for the final time when a child has parents from 2 different countries they can become a citizen or either country. Why is this so hard to comprehend. My brother had son with a woman from Mexico. The child could be a Mexican citizen or an American citizen. When I asked my brother if his son was going to be a Mexican citizen or an American citizen My brother said he was not sure at the time. I did not realize that asking this question made me a racist. Good God you people are sure prejudice. Ask a simple logical question and they start calling you a racist. Unbelievable the hate and prejudice of the left.

Obama's mother was a US citizen. He was born in this country. Nobody cares where he was going to retire or anything. Nobody except ignorant birthers had any reason to question Obama's citizenship.

And this is coming from someone who voted against him twice.

I voted for him the first round so I guess because I didn't vote for him after seeing what he accomplished that makes me a racist. Anyone who disagrees with the black person or the woman is a racist. Unbelievable.

I didn't vote for him either, and it had nothing to do with the color of his skin or me being a racist, which I'm not. Who called you a racist for disagreeing with him? And what woman are you talking about? You sound guilty.

So since you know his mother was a US citizen, why did you question the fact that he was a US citizen as well, given the fact that he was born in this country?

Your brother has nothing to do with anything.

Tell someone on the left about their hate and prejudice. You call yourself a "Liberal". I guess that you're mad at yourself now for hate and prejudice?

Possibly, Ivanka Trump being out of her element does come to mind.

That clears up a lot.

No, Ivanka, her husband, her brothers and her father all being liberals are what are supposed to come to mind. But I don't have much hope of you knowing the obvious.

You're right, I missed it completely.

Its more like Ivanka the dizzy blonde chick talking to a room full of foreign dignitaries assuming they have any interest at all in what she's saying.

I am not happy with the party I supported for 30 years. Just because his mother is a us citizen does not mean he is a US citizen. Especially when having parents from 2 different countries. You don't seem capable of grasping that fact so we are done.

First off his father was not an American. Second if you think our government has accurate information then there were weapons of mass destruction. I waited a long time before I actually saw a definitive birth certificate on line to end the accusations. The true racist are the people who call people racist who have the audacity to question a minority. Sorry if I could care less and treat them the same as a white male that I can say anything I want about.

His mother, however, was an American citizen, and he was born within the United States. That would make him a US citizen by birth.

As for treating him like any white male.....again I would ask you to provide evidence of ANY U.S. President that was asked to provide that information, since any white male would have been subject to the same questions and all.

I'll wait for that with bated breath.

His parents could have been from mars.

He was born in Hawaii

Yes, it does....especially when he is born in the United States and has a valid US Birth Certificate. Kinda ends the discussion. Unless he later went and got either dual or renounced his US citizenship, he would be a US citizen from the moment of his birth. You seem to be confusing his situation with someone born somewhere other than the United States to US citizens. Unless you are born on a military base, you would then be a citizen of the country you were born in until your parents filed the proper paperwork with the State Department to have that corrected. By most standards, you would be a citizen of that country for around 2 weeks before all the paperwork was completed.

His father was not a US citizen that can bring into question if the child is a US citizen or not. My brother married a wonderful woman from Mexico when he was working in Mexico. His son was born in Mexico. At the time he thought he would finish his career in Mexico and retire there. His son could have been a citizen of Mexico or the US. There could be a question of citizenship with parents from different countries. Obama could have declared himself a citizen of the African nation his father is from if he wanted to.

His child would have been a citizen of Mexico by birth. That child would have had to go through paperwork in order for them to have US citizenship.

Your statement about Obama would be incorrect as well. In order to claim the citizenship of his fathers nation, he would have had to actually renounce the US citizenship his birth afforded him. It wouldn't have been as simple as just saying so. Thats been the point this whole time....

When you have parents from different countries the child can become a citizen of either country in most cases.

Yes, those children have an option, but at the moment of birth, they are citizens of the country they are born in until paperwork is filed.

Now, if you can find some proof that that paperwork was ever filed on behalf of Mr. Obama, we might have a discussion. Otherwise, you are plainly incorrect.

Where was your nephew born? If it was in Mexico, unless your brother filed lots of paperwork, that answer was already known the second that kid popped out. He is a Mexican citizen until paperwork is filed and approved. Just as it would take the same paperwork for him to be a Mexican citizen had he been born on this side of the border. His parents nation of origin doesn't matter. His nation of birth would determine his citizenship in the absence of paperwork to change it.

Why is THAT so hard to understand?

We call racists racists. Honestly, it's not that difficult. For example, when someone is the leader of the racist Birther Movement, then they are a racist. And we will call them racists, because that's what they are.

First let me say that I think Trump was an absolute moron for clinging to the birther narrative as long as he did. It's one of the many reasons I didn't support him for president.

As for myself, when it first became a thing, I thought the rumor that Obama wasn't born in the US was interesting based on the circumstantial evidence surrounding it. That all changed the day I learned that back then 2 local newspapers in Hawaii had published Obama's birth announcement. That ended all speculation for me. It was all the proof I needed to know he was born in the US.... Now let me say this...

There is absolutely NOTHING racist about questioning the citizenship of any presidential candidate period!

From the United States Constitution:

"No Person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President"
ARTICLE II, SECTION 1, CLAUSE 5

If those presidential requirements didn't exist, then it would be reasonable to conclude that questioning Obama's birthplace was an act of racism... but that isn't the case.

I'm sure that back then every racist in the US embraced that narrative because it furthered their agenda, but the actual argument was centered on Obama's nationality as it pertained to presidential qualifications, not his race. The motivation for questioning his citizenship was purely political, which is why members of the Hillary Clinton campaign started that rumor in the first place.

So enough already... There is no excuse for lying and slandering people to this degree. I understand the "anything goes" nature of politics, but you all need to recognize that there's a fine line between political disagreement and societal upheaval... We are dancing on that line and I'm sure many here will agree when I say that it's time to walk it back now while we still can.

Questioning a candidate's qualifications isn't what got birthers called racist, dude. It was the fact that they wouldn't let it go even after they were given proof. They were racist because they invented this whole manchurian candidate conspiracy theory because they couldn't accept that a brown man with a funny sounding name won the election. Here's how a not-racist person questions the "natural born" qualification for Obama:

Not-Racist: "Hey, Barack Obama? Is he a natural born American?"
Others: "Yes, he was born in Hawaii. Here's the short-form birth certificate."
Not-Racist: "Ok, that settles that!"

Is that how you responded?

So you can show us where in history it was ever questioned about the citizenship of one of the 43 white white guys who have also held that position, right?

If you can't, it stands to reason that people might start asking what is different about this situation.

As the old kids song says.....one of these things is not like the others.
