Death Panels Of A Single Payer System

In other countries it does help tremendously Other nations with some form of government system have better care and coverage by far and it's way cheaper. And that's the conservatives solution for everything. Hungry? go to a church or a soup kitchen, maybe they haven't run out. Need chemotherapy? try to find a charity that may or not be able to help. I ****ing hope that you never end up on the skids without health insurance with prostate cancer and no means to treat it. Because then reality will hit you in the face.

even in other countries it doesn't cover everything. they are co-pays and deductibles that have to be paid. they also require additional insurance to cover the gaps in what the government doesn't pay for.
the average medicare advantage plan runs 250.

i have had no insurance before in fact i went 2 years without health insurance.

i just showed you an article where they can't get treatment with government healthcare that you advocate for.
keep denying you were just proved wrong.

Herceptin, Rituxan Biosimilars Might Soon Reach Oncologists in Europe

you can get these drugs now in America. can't get them in Europe yet.
if you think our government is going to pay for those drugs you are wrong.

we need a system that eliminates government from the picture and puts healthcare between doctor and patient and
the only thing that insurance is for is catastrophic coverage's.

simple to implement and will cover pretty much everyone.

Ludin, Henry is giving you wise counsel. Many posters here will keep pointing out that you are twisting evidence on your conformation bias than letting the evidence lead where it will go.

"both plans suck and need to be gotten rid of."

Absolute nonsense. Pharma can make great profits without astronomical pricing.

A free market does not mean that it gets to be a predator market.

lol...your title is parroting exactly what they talked about on Hannity Radio last night, exploiting this unfortunate situation by spinning it into something it is not. Bravo.

Don't watch Hannity so I'll have to take your word for that. I find it amazing how the rabid liberal left likes watching Fox News. It's sad though when parents are wanting to take their child out of the country for experimental treatment and even the pope has open arms and yet the communist country they live in refuses to let them leave the country. Not even China or Russia would do that. North Korea would. The US would also allow these parents to leave the country and go to Mexico or wherever for experimental treatment, no matter what a crock it was. This would seem like a liberal rights issue but the left seems to be silent on this. I guess it is because they like to see fetuses and babies die.

You say that like it's a bad thing.

You say that like it's a bad thing.

Say, what? I agree that the parents should be allowed to leave their communist country to seek experimental treatment for their baby? That's a bad thing?

What if they can turn their fetus into an unstoppable killer cyborg?

The "If you can't afford it, sucks to be you." attitude is the same thing, just worded differently.

Medicaid is available in every state to the truly poor. No version of the GOP healthcare suggests ending Medicaid.

No, actually he has a point. The decision to remove life support for that couples infant is being made by government morons in the UK and Europe.

The government is stopping its payments and it's interference and meddling in the free market. No one is keeping the parents from paying for it themselves if they want. The parents are being left to it. Let's see it do its magic.

So why did the GOP deny expansion of Medicaid under the ACA? Oh yeah, because it's not available in every state. How can you deny something you supposedly already have?

There is no withholding healthcare from the poor.

Since when have ERs started to turn way those who couldn't pay?
Hasn't happened. Isn't going to happen.

Crappy, overly expensive, subsidized health insurance is not the same thing as healthcare.

Do you realize how costly it is for people to just go to the ER for their health care ?? Way more expensive that way than providing actual health care.
What happens when those hospital actually don't get paid or the rural ones have to close? You lose availability of any care and you lose jobs.

The various failed GOP repeal/replace bills would cut Medicaid massively. Medicaid = health care for the poor.

Hasn't happened since ERISA, you mean.

But let's not change the subject, shall we? It's stupid. It's slimey. It's transparent. And every time you do it, an angel dies from headache.

The GOP plans would massively slash Medicaid, which is quite literally withholding health care from the poor.

To say they can still go to an ER because the hospital is lawfully required to determine their condition and stabilize them if necessary is no answer. It's also not a solution. It's actually the exact thing everyone agreed was part of the problem, before Obama got elected of course. It would quite literally be the worst possible way to provide care.

It's also quite a bit more expensive for you, since every time a poor person skips an ER bill, your insurance premiums go up. And, of course, waiting for disaster to strike necessarily means that more care will be required to address the issue. And if someone doesn't have access to care they used to, due to Medicaid cuts, then they'll be lurching from unnecessary health crisis to unnecessary health crisis. It'd be cheaper and better for everyone if they just got the damn care in the first place through Medicaid.

But hey, what's the use of reality when we want to yell at liberals, eh?

:boom:boom

Really? I didn't know you could get chemo in the ER. People like you pretend the ER takes care of all the Americans who don't have healthcare so you don't have to face the hard moral reality of your political positions. Our health insurance system (or lack thereof) unncessarily kills a lot of people, and the poor and middle class are not able to see doctors when they need to, especially for regular checkups and preventative maintenance.

When you let a problem get bad enough that you need to go to the ER it's already too late in many cases. There really is a better way to design a healthcare system, dozens of them, you just have to open your eyes and be honest with yourself that our system does not work, why not look at countries who were able to figure it out?

It's easier to sit back and say "I don't want to pay for it". Those lazy poor people who just don't want to work. Those dumb women should just keep their knees together.............yada yada yada.

And what to do with the people who don't take their own health seriously to provision for it? A difficult question.

How do you "provision" for a car accident??
Not taking their health seriously??? Do you want to the "Health Police"???

I thought conservatives wanted less government..............

Only gutting it by cutting funding but hey it's still there............the logic is where??
