Misread it, yes. Sorry.
That's alright.

No, we should give them all drivers licenses and the ability to sue the owner of any building or structure that negligently gets in the way of where they're going. What should we do with blind people? Confine them to seeing impaired colonies?
I'm the one who suggested that lawsuits are filed even if the person suing is 100% at fault with the hopes getting of a big payout or, at least, a decent settlement. You cannot tell me that does not occur. How do you know she's seeking a big payday and not just actual damages?

That might be going a little farther than just asking the proprieter of a store to keep its aisle's reasonably clear of slippery liquids to insure the safety of its customers.
I have a crazy idea. Why don't we hold the person who actually made the mess responsible?

Sure thing..we'll have all companies hire legions of Mess Police investigators, so they can identify which employee or customer made a mess that made another person get injured so we can hold them responsible....GREAT IDEA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
or you could just try cameras. D:
Not that I agree with his idea now.

If you see a mess on the floor don't slip on it. It should help avoid any sort of falling.
Messes happen in stores. Try to not WALK in them idiots. Why businesses should pay for such things is something I will never understand.
As for the whining from the judge about money. Meh, its part of society these days.
Are you familiar with the word ACCIDENT?
Do you mean the word accident that describes an incident when a traumatic event occurs that did not happen because of the injureds negligence??, you mean that kind hay

That's exactly what's happening here, Costco made the mess and they are being held responsible.

I don't think Costco is who was sucking on the slurpee that fell.
Costco was the person responsible for the spill. What don't you understand about responsibility?
Call me old fashioned, but I think anybody commenting on legal issues should have at least a basic understanding of what they are talking about. Clearly you do not.
What don't you understand about "you made the mess, you clean it up"? There's your responsibility.
You mean like slipping on something all by yourself?

I take it you have never heard of the doctrine of respondeat superior.
